M&A:

June, when I went to see him a couple of years ago here, he was beyond belief! The Verizon Center was sold out and with people standing in the back. He entertained us for three straight hours, with just one 5 minute break, and brought the house down! Truthfully, I sit here with his songs playing many times while on the net.

As an aside, there have been links put on by Gandolf of singers I've never heard and now have quite a collection in a file, from copying the links and sending them to myself. However, I was only half joking on that one Galien posted - what a song and never heard of the singer back then, either. Sorry, June, but that song is Gandolf!

M and a

Thats ok Cheryl, was just teasing anyway, Torri her tractor and me well I'd run except the tractor drowns us both out and we can't hear tiddlysquat

Cheryl you carry on with that idea and Torri and I shall make a recording to drive you bloody nuts

___________
Up late last night on the midnight shift? Well, if you must retaliate in kind please, please don't make a recording of all Elton John's songs to play - I so dislike his singing you know and to be forced to sit and listen to him all day ... well, I'd be so distracted I'd probably stay out of your hair!

M and A

Ahhh now mind you I quite like Elton, but do I want to murder his songs......
Bob has a recording of Dame Clara Butt circa 1900? or earlier, its nails on blackboard stuff.

Thanks Châtelaine.

Did you read Esplendor de la Foma this morning? Nothing really new, but some interesting bits though. It seems that the photos taken by the tourist were sent to a center of protection for youth which closely collaborates with the police. The lawyers who contacted the toutists and offered money for the pictures wanted the tourist not to make comments on the pictures publicly before the lawyers would agree to that. Duarte Lebvy, who is said to be French by the way, saw the pictures. They could show KM might have left the table at a time during the dinner, since she might have changed clothes, which wouldn't be possible if the first time she left the table was at 10, when she gave the alarm.

One thing I don't understand, is apparently some say it took time for Jane Tanner to make a statement about Bundleman, and from the PJ files, it appears she talked about him to the police as soon as the 5th of April.

I had really started wondering where all the money came from, even though I knew a lot of people gave them some, and they got some from suing the newspapers. But Clarrie had to be paid month after month, the expensive lawyers had to be paid - even when the arguido status was lifted, the armada of lawyers went on working, this time on the files -, then Metodo, then the new anglo-american firm. I found it strange that they could spend so much without having to worry about the money.

I sort of find it re-assuring to know they can't go on spending on PRs, lawyers, detectives, as if they were a firm making money through hard work. It also shows Brian Kennedy has got clout in the financial decisions. I wonder, did they do a bid before recruiting their detectives (I don't know the English word. We call it "appel d'offre"), or was it by word of mouth, and from whom ? There seems to be a gap in quality between the lawyers on the one hand, and the detectives on the other hand.

Thank you for those words of wisdom agw, to myself the Fair Prince sent to slay the Dragon Artemis, perhaps you would be kind enough to review the allegations made as to inciting libel, which my dear agw are utter nonsense, when can a factual statement be construed as anything other than fact......I repeat the allegations were made against (EDIT)....please point out the perceived incitement or libel.

-agw: Any mention of those allegations brings a definite risk of a libel action and you well know it. Not one UK newspaper (that I am aware of) has carried those allegations and I doubt Anorak ever could. I would prefer you leave the subject alone completely. The Moderator was not wrong to pull the posting and you are not so naive that you do not understand the risks here. I regard you as both witty and a valuable contributor to this debate but your wit would be a dead liability were we to stand together in a dock to defend the indefensible. The area you wish to enter has to remain sterile ground for us. I do not think we are concerned by what other sites may or may not be saying; we would rather not. The story-line you allude to contributes little or nothing to the debate. If you disagree with that opinion we may have a falling out and I would rather that did not happen. You represent a valid point of opinion and consistently fight your corner bravely and well. I wouldn't want to umpire you out of the game.

I repeat, earnest discussion of this type is better elsewhere...not in the thread.

re the Mail article : www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1048600/Madeleine-fund-chaos-private-eyes-axed-draining-500-000.html
Does anyone sense the change of tone here ?
-
Fund in chaos
Axed
Publicly donated funds
"The development is likely to dismay the thousands who gave to the appeal, and raise questions about how the fund has been administered."
A spokesman for the McCanns said yesterday: ‘Kate and Gerry, the fund and their backers have always sought to employ the very best people and resources in the ongoing search for Madeleine. EDIT I simply will not comment on any personnel, financial or operational details whatsoever.’

Good morning on this wonderful and gloriously sunny day. It is apparent that the moderator by the name of Artemis, is a rabid anti and out to silence any opinion that does not suit her agenda. It is also some what obvious that there has been more trouble in that idiots tenure than in the lifetime of this Madeleine McCann story. She has mistakenly chosen to cross swords with Gandolf, Gandolf will enter and leave this site at will, some have PC's some have access to higher technology, there will only be one winner........that will not be Artemis.......care to try another blocking error 403 Artemis ?
Perhaps now you have had time to consult google, you can point in which direction your libel nonsense came from, that is apart from your own flawed thinking. Do have a lovely day, I certainly shall, will drop in later ......TTFN.

-agw Ah!! As the flag flutters its last over Peking (as was) A new Olympian tussle looms. Gandolf turns Grumpy on SnowWhite. An adult fairytale.
Just keep it out of the Madeleine thread will you? It is unseemly.
