Madeleine McCann: Rose Ron, Murder And Portugal’s Bermuda Triangle For Missing Kids
MADDIE WATCH - Anorak’s at-a-glance guide to press coverage of Madeleine McCann, Kate McCann and Gerry McCann
SKY NEWS: “Tragic Case Of Israel’s Madeleine”
One day on from the news of Israel’s “our Maddie”, Sky news leads with “Israel’s our Maddie”. As Anorak readers know Israel’s our Maddie is called Rose Ron. Sky News - First for breaking news…
Rose Ron is missing. Rose Ron was missing:
No-one seemed to really notice until her grandfather walked into a Tel Aviv police station two weeks ago and confessed to her murder.
No-one? Subtext: Sky News didn’t notice.
Recounting his actions, Ronny Ron told police he got angry with Rose during a car journey and hit her. After he struck her and did not hear any sounds he realised she was dead. In his panic, he claims to have stuffed her body into a suitcase and thrown it into a river. Speaking in court, he called her death a ‘tragic mistake’.
So Israel’s Maddie is similar to our Maddie because..? And do bear in mind that none of our Maddie’s family members are accused of any hand in her disappearance. Indeed, Kate and Gerry McCann have been cleared. so too has Robert Murat. Sky commented on him…
“I have handled many investigations,” said the Israeli district police commander on Israeli radio. “But I can not recall a single other investigation that turned all our stomachs, that all of us come out of the investigation briefings with tears in their eyes.”
No, not our Maddie, but their Maddie…
THE TIMES: “The sad life and death of Rose, Israel’s Madeleine McCann”
You know, the French girl called Rose Ron..?
Rose, the little girl with haunted blue eyes and ashy blonde hair has been called the Israeli Madeleine McCann.
Yeah, blonde. Well, blonde-ish. Not as blonde as our Maddie, the original Maddie. But then she is a foreigner…
THE SUN: “Party Brit’s girl taken into care”
The Sun’s VERONICA LORRAINE is in Portimao, Portugal. She needs a story quick. She finds one, sort of:
A GIRL of eight was taken into care after her British mum went partying and left her alone in their holiday apartment — a few miles from where Madeleine McCann was snatched.
Jeeze! Just think what could have happened… Remember them?
Portimao is less than 25 miles from Praia da Luz, where Maddie vanished in May last year just before her fourth birthday.
Praia da Luz is the Bermuda Triangle for missing kidz. Fact!
The Sun understands the mum had been urged by a doctor to avoid drink on holiday as she was on medication to combat alcohol-related problems and depression.
How very understanding…
But she ignored the advice, went out boozing and ended up needing hospital treatment.
Some people. Tsk!
Police handed her frightened daughter to a temporary care home in Faro. After being assessed there she was transferred to a children’s home in nearby Loule.
A Portuguese children’s home…. Noooooo!
Madeleine McCann: Accept no substitute…

Châtelaine,
Now I understand the theory, which means the child would be OK, living happily somewhere under another identity. Interesting!
But then, why the Fund, and the detective agencies?

Thanks for the support!
Quite.
Our horsy things(!) are often so filthy I have to say sorry to the environment and boil wash. Even then they’re not clean, so I’m sure any test of residue would show up.
Even if she didn’t wash them where are they?
We’ve never seen hide nor hair of the last tee shirt etc have we?
And apart from Cuddle cat which we know she washed, her daughters teeshirt would also have the smell of Madleine on it. Comfort for a bereft mother?
No. no sign of….
another curious incident of the mccann’s in the nightime.
(How do I do the picture things against my name!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

I am not anti-British, believe me, Abraham : I love this site, which to me, is typically English, and I admire the humour and openess many posters bring into it. Also I think at the beginning, the British police helped a lot. And I agree the two dogs changed things completely in one moment. But as regards investigating in England, it seems to have been very difficult, maybe for reasons of not breaching privacy.

In that THEORY she wasn’t ABDUCTED, Marie … And, of course, any financial compensation could never have gone directly to their bank account … I stress the word “theory”.

I don’t think the PJ were allowed to track the deleted phone calls. It seems to me that they have been thoroughly discouraged from the start, to try and investigate anything else than an abductor. How do you explain too that noone ever tried to know if really K M had been in contact with so many corpses at her work? How do you explain that the PJ never managed to get the bank accounts?
The reluctance of British authorities to investigate along that line was compounded by the fact it took some time for the PJ to consider the family as suspect.

hi everyone
Just a silly thought. Is it possible then that the cadaver and blood might not have been madelaines? could someone else have perished in the apartment that night? could explain why the mccs havnt shown much grief
August 27th, 2008 at 2:43 pm
Châtelaine,
I also thought at a time that she might have been abducted by people who were her real parents, or something to the kind. But the MCs would have said so, in oder to hrlp the PJ find the abductors and to get their daughter back. There is nothing wrong in adopting a child. Or, if she was born by a surrogate mother, legally, she is K and G’s daughter. I do think M is their daughter.

Good Afternoon!!!!!!!
Whilst we’r on the subject of DNA - which I don’t know a lot about, I have always found it strange that , even working as the PJ were on the original conviction of the parents that it was an abduction - that they didn;’t use Madleine’s clothing from the day.
I mean we’ve all mentioned Cuddle Cat, pillows, sheets etc. but where are her clothes? They would be covered in the little girls DNA and would surely have been a more defnite article to have given the PJ and the sniffer dogs than a towel that may well not have been used only by Madeleine.
(Unless of course she had some contagious disease so she had to have her own towel)
But her clothes would have been personal and we know what she was wearing that day, they produced a photo. Taken at 1.30p.m. that day. By the pool.
Or was it?
Did Kate wash her clothes immediately?
And again with Cuddle Cat ?
We should know these things……………… do we?
Hello everyone!
IMO
M andA
Gillyflower you could have a point there - but even if the clothes had been washed they would need a boil wash at least to remove anything biological and most kids clotes anyway are washable at 40 or even 30 degs, so the dna could remain.
When I wash dog bedding I need to use a selection of stuff to remove other dogs scents etc and it includes a boil wash

We could debate until we are black and blue about the paternity issue. One thing I have always felt is that there is a “reason” why Maddie has vanished, and I don’t mean accidental (or not) death. Something else, but can’t figure out what it might be. There is a reason why the parents insist she is alive and keep searching (not for $ / the Fund). There is a reason why they haven’t cracked under the pressure of this case after so long. There is reason why the PR machine was up and running so quickly!
This is the $2M question!
Have to go. Bye bye!

There were DNA tests of Madeleine’s, also out of salive on her kussen.

To be devil’s advocate: is there any proof it was indeed M’s pillow? Like, is there any proof that the towel - 5 days after the disappearance - given to general sniffer dogs to follow her trail, was indeed only used by M?
August 27th, 2008 at 2:22 pm
KM is MM´s mother
the couple has only assume that the little girl was conceived through artificial insemination.
August 27th, 2008 at 2:20 pm
Dead or not ( I believed she died) it is extremely painful for Madeleine’s memory to talk about her paternity on this way.
What should be the use to hide this?
The twins are Gerry’s kids which proofs he is not sterile.
Why borrow sperma from the mailman and later use his own sperma?
There were DNA tests of Madeleine’s, also out of salive on her kussen.

If the biological father didn’t try to get the child before, why would he then? The MCs would have thought of him as a suspect immediately, and they would have told the police, as not only did it exonerate them completely, it also gave them a strong hope of getting the child back.
****
Marie, as long ago as October/November last year, when I was still young and innocent, I proposed a theory that G was not her biological father, that the donor had meanwhile had a wife or girlfriend who couldn’t conceive and that he’d claimed “his” daughter back. As, of course, this could not be a matter of simply handing over [and maybe get some compensation for the "loss"] a seemingly simple, yet in the end rather complicated scheme was conceived…
I had to lay flat on the floor so as to not to get shot …
and never, ever brought the idea up again

“MADDIE STORIES
NEW SIGHTINGS
By Our Man in Portugal by R Guido.
There have been reports of several new sightings of Maddie stories during
the last few weeks.
They have been spotted in a variety of different places, giving hope to the
idea that the story is not dead.
No Shock
Said one witness, “I saw it quite clearly on the front page of the Daily
Telegraph. There was no mistaking it. It couldn’t have been any other
story”.
And the Maddie sightings are not confined to the UK. A reader in New
Dworkin, USA, claims that he too saw what was definitely an item about
the missing toddler. “I only glimpsed it for a second”, he said, “but I’ll
swear it was genuine”.
Full Story p.94 (Poster’s note….this is a spoof page reference).
*Have you been affected by any of the issues raised by this report ?
We don’t want to hear from you if you have.

We reacted in the same way together!
Honestly, I think we would know by now, if Madeleine had been adopted. I can’t see why the PJ wouldn’t have writtn it in their files.

I think Mdeleine looks at least like her mother, so K would be her biological mother. Her little sister Amelie is also said to be a spitting image of her. So, it must be the same biological family. Maravilha says it is, from Amaral’s book.

Marie N,
Long time ago I had the impression that Maddie could have been the product of an illegal adoption. If this was the case, the parents would have to keep quiet or else. Just my own thoughts, of course. The real parents would have had to track them down, etc. etc.
***********************************************************************
Except Madeleine is the spitting image of Kate, so much so that I think it extremely unlikely that Kate is not her biological mother.
August 27th, 2008 at 1:56 pm
Amaral’s book:
There was a registered phone call from Gerry at 11.17 pm, on Kate’s phone.
It was registered on her phone and there was no registration on Gerry’s phone, calling her.
It was deleted.

Dr. Watson
I don’t think Gailen is Gandolf (but Gandolf might be several persons). She defends the MCs against anybody doubting their innocence, which is her right, but she doesn’t have the same style of writing as him: I understand her very easily, whereas Garth and mostly Gandolf are half incomprehensible to me, not only because of all the rude words and insults, but because of how they build their sentences. You have to speak English as a first language to understand them well. Reading them is a tedious task for me, whereas it isn’t with what Gailen writes.

thats what I mean, some may have to buy ‘roaming’ and so have two pin cards/numbers, on the same phone
************************************************************************
Mmm, not sure how it works in the UK. With Spanish mobile phones, if they are on contract, you just have to ask the company to activate roaming and they do it automatically. No change of PIN needed. Maybe it’s different if it’s a pay-as-you go phone.
