Could kick and hit him with anything, the thumb trick worked every time. And yes it did save my brothers leg once when a doberman attacked him and wouldnt let go. One to remember. It literally hits a nerve with the dog, but beware as they will swing round super fast on you when you do it. be ready to move fast or have someone grab them. Don't waste your time pulling or trying to beat one of these dogs off what they have in their jaws, someones life could depend on your willingness to be brave. The pitbull that attacked was roaming the streets - numerous people rushed out of their houses to try and get him away from the little boy - the owner of the pitbull was looking on doing nothing to help! These people tried everything, punching the dog, kicking him but nothing worked - and all this at the risk of the pitbull turning on them! Then Ricky Veludo fetched Blade and let him loose - it is only Blade that saved this little boy's life, and the faith that Ricky Veludo had in his dog! No, Rotties are certainly not a petting dog - you don't roll around the lawn with them for a little cuddle! And I certainy wouldn't put my hand under a rotties chin for a big slobbery kiss. Ask me, I owned one .. he was heavier than I was - by a good few slices of meat! The reason I had him? For protection! Yes, he was my baby, I looked after him better than I would look after a piece of gold. But .. under NO circumstances was any child allowed near him ... including my own! Anyone (including adults who thought they were brave never ventured very close to him) - they were warned not to, as if that dog sensed any form of threat to me - he would attack! The only time that my monster Rottie attacked was when my life was directly in danger - Baxter didn't come off second best! So let's put the blame where the blame lies here - allowing an unsupervsed pit bull to be in the streets is your perfect recipe for disaster. The dog and owner should both be shot at dawn! RIP Baxter my monster dog ... you were one of the best dogs I ever owned! And to Ricky and Blade ... you both deserve a medal and a huge bone for Blade!
