Ralph Nader’s Six Supporters March On Denver
RALPH Nader. He used to be Ralph Nader:
The Ralph Nader for President campaign in Colorado revved up to start its demonstration march at the onset of the Democratic National Convention. All six supporters were ready to go, leaflets in hand, their 15-foot-tall brown beer-bottle protest balloon was inflated and tied down on the trailer behind the 18-year-old silver Ford F-150 pickup.
Then disaster struck—the generator powering the air-pump that kept the balloon afloat died. Out of gas. The giant balloon shriveled and went limp. One of the Naderites sprinted off for the nearest gas station.

It is interesting that all the ‘mainstream’ candidates now claim that they will bring change; stealing the imagery, though not the substance, of Nader’s campaign…

Thanks for publishing my comment. Didn’t mean to get carried away. I had just read how now people are so torn between not really liking either of the parties candidates and I was just wishing all the candidates got covered. It would be nice to see a real debate about real things that concern Americans, not just phrases cooked up by political pollstering writers in this campaign. Thanks again.

I beg your pardon. “He used to be Ralph Nader. ” What kind of comment is that? Oh, sorry, as I arrowed up, I see you are a tabloid journalist, not a real one. I mistakenly arrived on your website. You are sharing something with the MAINSTREAM however. Blocking real news. Ralph Nader, who is still Ralph Nader, the same guy we can thank for safer cars, safer meat, a cleaner environment, a recognized name for supporting the rights of American citizens. Yes, that’s the same Ralph Nader. He’s going to be on probably 45 ballots come November, running for President of the United States. That same Ralph Nader who is thinks our government should be a government looking out for the rights of its citizens. A candidate that thinks politicians shouldn’t regard the money we send to Washington as funds to distribute to special interests, corporate welfare, rewards for those supporting their campaigns. He’s the only candidate for a real national health care plan, where all American citizens are deserving of medical care that they need. He doesn’t think our citizens should have to choose between buying food or the medicine they need. Is that worthy information for a tabloid? Sounds like news to me.

Americans have a choice besides A and B candidates. Time to start naming Ralph Nader as a candidate in the poll numbers, instead of listing him under “other”. Ralph Nader has answers to the problems our nation faces. Mainstread media has blocked pretty much everything out on his campaign. Why? Stilling a voice that offers real choice in this campaign. Supporters in every state have worked to get him on nearly 45 ballots so that we can have a government that works for the American people and one that still believes in upholding the Constitution. Make that over 4,000+ people who showed up in Denver tonight at the Super Rally to show not only their support for Ralph Nader but also their support for DEMOCRACY!!!! Maybe you should take the time to find out about Nader’s message and his desire for a true democracy here in the US - for starters: the main thing Nader wants right now is to have the presidential debates opened up so that all running parties can participate - give the American people the CHANCE to hear the issues, hear where ALL candidates stand on those issues (not just the Democrats and the Republicans - we have more options!), and give canidates the opportunity to debate one another in an open forum with unbiased media coverage of the debates. He is a true civil servant who really cares about PEOPLE (not money, not power, not self gratification) and always has - his life is a testament to his commitment. You may want to take a little time out and grapple with Nader’s message before you simply blow him off - He’s a true freedom fighter and hero:

Really..I love how the media portrays things. Can we not trust the media for a bit and look at the facts? Just compare candidates and you’ll find the truth of the matter. Who cares about trivial stuff? Who do you want running the country? Someone who is for the people, or someone who is for corporations?

Really? 6 people? Obviously you didn’t see or bother to read about the convention he held in Denver while Democrats were lavishly eating and drinking with my tax dollars. Over 27,000 signatures were collected to get Ralph on the ballot in New York State. That’s a few more than 6. He polls at 6% nationally. Since you seem to have a little difficulty with math, that’s percent, not people. That’s lots of people who like him. Oh, and in New Mexico, he polls at 8%. That means millions of people support him. Problem is, our media has blacked him and other 3rd party candidates out.
I love when other countries think they know so much about U.S. politics. You’re not good at math and obviously know little about what’s going on here.
My hat is off to Cynthia McKinney, Cindy Sheehan, Ron Paul, Dennis Kucinich, and the increasing numbers of brave citizens who refuse to settle for the least worst candidate any longer.

There has been a complete media blackout of Nader’s campaign. He is the only candidate addressing the necessary CHANGE and reform this country desperately needs in factual detail. His career is filled with positive progressive action, not with rhetoric. The Clean Air Act, the Clean Water Act, Freedom of Information Act, OSHA, and innumerable other bills that Americans benefit from are a direct result of Ralph Nader and his supporters efforts. In my mind he is the 1st Citizen of this country, and should be treated with respect, not derided by the media. He has always worked to protect and inform people, and his candidacy’s platform continues this stance. This country will continue to be in perpetual war unless we embrace a clean, energy independent future. The war in Iraq, the threat of war in Iran, the instability soon to ensue in Pakistan, are all an outgrowth of the oil economy. Real Change is based in Real Integrity.

Recently, Ralph Nader got on the California ballot.
Recently, people started paying attention to the Campaign.

Open the Debates!

Why not report on the thousands that are turning up for the Open the Debates and anti war Super Rally by the Nader/ Gonzalez campaign in Denver, without even close to 1% of national coverage, when he’s polling at 6% according to CNN, and greater in certain states. Furthermore, the latest zogby poll shows that 50% of Americans want Nader and Barr to debate.
