Yes but that was earlier when it was LIGHT. It doesn’t mean Jane Tanner could determine colours with the same degree of accuracy later when it was DARK.

Your words are ambiguous to say the least. The “guy” (Jes Wilkins) went out at 8.15/8.30 to take his young son for a walk in his buggy. At that time it would not have been dark in PDL. If Jes saw a woman in a purple dress at that point, visibility would’ve been far better, there would have been some daylight left.

His meeting with Gerry is said to have been around 9.10. By this point it WOULD have been dark, and the street would have been lit with a kind of sodium lighting that alters perception of colours. (That’s why a red-haired person looks brown-haired under street lamps.)

It’s also interesting that on the sketch plan Jane supplied to the PJ, Jes and Gerry were on her side of the road, and by the time of the McCannorama programme they had moved to the other side.

I’ve also always been curious about the fact that staff at El Paraiso insisted Madeleine and family were there on My 3, when Gerry danced with her, and made a lovely family scene etc etc.

The McCanns insisted they WEREN’T there, and although staff offered CCTV film to police to say they were, the film was said to be “too grainy” to prove anything.

Could some other child have been mistaken for Madeleine?

Certainly, all photos of M supposedly in PdL are very dodgy, and show photo-shopping tampering.
