Madeleine McCann: Maddie For Rose Ron, Praia Da Luz Moves And Whacking Stephanie Bysh
MADDIE WATCH - Anorak’s at-a-glance guide to press coverage of Madeleine McCann, Kate McCann and Gerry McCann
THE SUN: “Hol mum of left girl faces jail”
To Portugal…
A BRITISH mum whose daughter was taken into care on holiday faces up to ten years in jail.
It’s “cash-strapped Stephanie Bysh”.
What do we know about here?
She a brunette. And, as reported, she and one Ariella D’Gamo were “sleeping on the streets before a friend took them in. The worried pal took the eight-year-old girl to cops in Lagos, Portugal. She is now staying at a children’s home.”
How does Madeleine McCann fit in?
Bysh fled the resort — near where Madeleine McCann disappeared in May 2007 — but collapsed with kidney problems in Portimao 15 miles away.
That close, eh. Yesterday the incident was 25 miles from where our Maddie went missing. Such are the facts.
DAILY MAIL: “Fears the ‘Israeli Madeleine McCann’ has been killed by her own mother and grandfather”
You mean Rose Ron’s grandfather who told police that he had killed the 4-year-old?
What more of their Maddie?
At its heart lies the bizarre love triangle in which little Rose’s grandfather fell in love with his son’s young bride and fathered two more daughters with her. Police say the grandfather has admitted killing the child and dumping her in a river, but no body has been found and there is no forensic evidence proving her death.
Just like our Maddie, then? It’s uncanny.
Ha’aretz (Israel): “’Sick twist’: World media plays up story of ‘Israeli Madeleine McCann’”
Rose Ron is missing. She’s been given the nickname Maddie…

Moreover, at the time when the statements were done, I don’t think any of the witnesses thought that so many people would read them and talk about them a year and a half later.

Marie Nicholas! You just simply have to be the Patron Saint of Translations and Chief of Dispelling Mystique! I insist! lol
I think it’s safe to say that not only were they not aware that it would be talked about for the past 16 months - but that they would be put in the same category as Shipman, Fred West, Shergar, Diana and Lucan - in that there is so much going ‘unexplained’.
But the truth is out there - somewhere - and it will be their unscrupulousness regarding their own statements that finds them out - and Amaral will be feel as if he has cleared his own name.
Clearence Mitchell has just refused my offer to help with the new Super-Duper-Ex-Troopers Squad again - even though I said I would take my own flask and sandwiches! The cheek of it!
But the PJ said that they will be in touch in the near future because they might have ajob for me.

Anyway, I suppose they have a tape-recorder, and the work of one interpreter can be checked by another.

AZ! Mein Gott! Was it really him that did her statement?
Can you imagine the amount of discreditation that could come from this?
I need a lie-down!

Mlle Chatelaine! Parfait! The Milk Tray Men and all those that are loaded will have it made.
Scary! Just replied to you on the Jacqui Smith thread. I hope you agree with me that Jacqui should go and see somebody about having a decent bra designed for her lol.

Patricia D, apparently, was the inspector who collected the statements from Kate, Gerald, Oldfield and Payne. Her name is written, or her signature is on the file.
The interpretors weren’t the same.

It may be interesting when we get to Dianne Webster’s statement, if the rumours are true that the interpreter was one Mr R Murat!
August 28th, 2008 at 4:11 pm
I run again into the quote [supposedly David Payne]: “We were waiting for something to happen but didn’t in our worst nightmare think it would be this.”
Does anyone know/remember where this comes from ???
August 28th, 2008 at 4:09 pm
Ola! Please remember when reading all these statements that the Clannies did not ever ever at any time ever ever think that they would not be believed by everybody in the whole wide World that they ‘knew’ that M had been abducted.
This is why everything has turned into such a farcical debacle.
At no point did any Clan member believe for one instant that any teensy weensy bit of doubt would be cast in any of their directions.
They are doctors on holiday with doctors and a couple of other people with highly respected jobs and CVs.
This was totally unexpected to each and every one of them. They are none of them used to being criticised, questioned or otherwise disbelieved in any area of their professional and personal lives - ever lol.
This is what happened with the infamous Dr. Harold Shipman!
He just could not believe for one fucking instant that he would one day be brought to book - so he carried on not covering his arse.
Not just ‘forgetting’ to change the dates on his computer and getting second signatures - but not even ‘considering’ the implications of his having not done so!
I think it’s time to do a comparative on the woman who’s looking at ten years for abandoning her child in Portugal now!
It really is time. Let’s see why the Clan can’t be prosecuted for that - but others can! lol

Abraham Zapruder
I think Gandolf wanted to make him talk by all means!
The problem with torture is that people talk, even if they don’t know anything…
So it would have made things still more complicated.
I am glad for Pacheco he is no longer suspected of keeping terrible secrets, and can now munch the sardines his Mum cooks for him with a drink of the “vin de messe” (wine for the mass) in his presbytery.

Just had my nails done agin Should have read ‘crucial’ and ’song-sheet’ for all of you out there who are not English X
August 28th, 2008 at 3:51 pm
“Around 10 PM, Kate went to her appartment, and less than five minutes later, she came back to the restaurant, shattered, signaling that Madeleine had disappeaed.”
“5 How long did the search that you made in the apartment after detecting the disappearance of your daughter Madeleine take?”
“11 Why did you do to warn your friends instead of calling out from the balcony?”
strange, isn’t it?
August 28th, 2008 at 3:49 pm
The PJ normally take statements and put them into sealed envelopes - are these the actual transcripts that we are being shown now?
The very very first initial and crucila statements? The ones where the minds are completely focussed and set?
The statements made before they all realised that they were not singing from the same son-sheets so had to put the odd extra lyrics in here and there? The odd extra dot put in after the quavers?
Not to mention making a huge effort at forte before the crescendo???

Chateleine
We don’t have the questions that were put to Dr Payne, so we don’t know whether this was in direct reply to a question.
This is not a transcript of the interview, which makes it close to impossible to judge whether this is offered information or not…
August 28th, 2008 at 3:37 pm
Chatelelaine says ………..Think he didn’t like being called Pinkie by us all the time … So what shall we call him now [IF he's still around, that is ..]? “Blueberry”? “Blue fox”? “Blue devils”? “Blue bottle”? “Blue-pencil”?
…………………………………………………………
What about Blewy? As in ‘blown it’ for the Clannies.

Curiouser & curiouser that his statement then contains unnecessary information about “never having entered the room” … Something which would never have caught my attention, if not for the Mallorca statements …
August 28th, 2008 at 3:28 pm
Abraham,
I agree with you that it would be interesting to know if it was usual for Gerry to send a friend see if everything was OK with his wife. And what D P saw on his visit. Going to see K and children just before dinner is relevant to the investigation. I can’t remember if K and G mention it in their own statemtns. I find it strange that spontaneously, D.Payne wouldn’t talk about it. I think that had he mentioned it, it would be written.
They don’t show Payne’s signature on Enfants kidnappés, whereas they show it for other statements, together with the signature of the inspector, and interpreter I think.
August 28th, 2008 at 3:27 pm
Chenier, very true, I’m just trying to comment on the translations that have been posted. Equally I do my best to look at things from both sides of the fence. I think if I were abroad with a group of friends and one of the children is abducted, I would be inclined to stick around a while and help the police reconstruct every moment of the fateful day, for example in case there had been some strange character taking photos, casing apartments etc.
So I am surprised that the PJ didn’t ask the T7 to stick around if only for a few more days.

Oooohh! Cargo pants and a blood test. Did it hurt? Mine hurt. I reckon you’re me all right! No doubt about it. I am not Garth or Gandy though, I can’t ride a horse, and as you could see from my siren call film clip yesterday, they both ride very well, although one of them wears a hat.

i wonder if the 3 a’s realise you can read their site through google cache versions.
August 28th, 2008 at 3:14 pm
Thanks Abraham for the explanation.
I am not surprised Pacheco doesn’t know anything. How would he? Supposing the parents didn’t tell the whole truth to the police, people usually confess only a long time after they have been involved in something like that, and when they are ready to confess, they usually are ready to stop telling lies.
Gandolf’s rants were quite funny, but so exaggerated (and full of prejudice).
August 28th, 2008 at 3:13 pm
actually Gailen, I’m a she with several pairs of cargo pants in several sizes (see food and eat it diet) also have blood tests monthly so you could be me but I don’t have a plaster though instinct tells me you’re younger!
Or I could be you and you could be Garth and Garth could be Gandolf and we could all be a combination of Maria, Secret and Totje. ‘One of me, six of you, it’s Pimms o’clock’ Cheers!

Chatelaine,
Yes, it is the site you are thinking of. Paulo Reis has agreed to answer questions from the DVD, you can understand that he has been rather swamped as a result.
Basically one question was if Fr Pacheco’s statement revealed anything that could explain allegations that he’d had a personality change due to the Maddy case.
Paulo’s response: “No. Absolutely not.”
M&A, hope this is okay, my motive is solely in getting to the truth.

AZ,
These are formal statements following a particular pattern; I think it may be misleading to assume that items are omitted because someone deliberately wished to hide things.
We don’t know enough about the precise status of these interviews under Portuguese law to reach that conclusion.
August 28th, 2008 at 3:05 pm
Oh, here we go, again. No I am not coolandcalm. Spent the morning taking back the cargo pants bought in Dotty Ps (too small, changed for a larger size) and having a blood test. I’ve got a plaster on my arm. Has coolandcalm got a plaster on his arm? Has he? Has he?
No I thought not. Therefore I am not him.
If he has, then I am.
