How does Madeleine McCann fit in?
Bysh fled the resort — near where Madeleine McCann disappeared in May 2007 — but collapsed with kidney problems in Portimao 15 miles away.
That close, eh. Yesterday the incident was 25 miles from where our Maddie went missing. Such are the facts.

We might think it’s neglegt, it certainly was wrong and irresponsible what they did, yet is’t up to the prosecutor to consider if what they did indeed suits the criteria of the legal ‘neglect’ charge. May be in the UK it does, yet it looks like it doesn’t according to the Portuguese law.
To me what’s happened also raised questions about the safety of the ‘babylistening device’ or the ‘babylistening service’ MW offers in other holiday resorts.

Actually, the sentence is a disaster area, but its shortfallings do not arise from any defamatory statement. Justice Eady has the patience of a saint, but alleging that the use of inverted commas renders a statement libelous is likely to try even his temper.

This is why everything has turned into such a farcical debacle.
At no point did any Clan member believe for one instant that any teensy weensy bit of doubt would be cast in any of their directions.
They are doctors on holiday with doctors and a couple of other people with highly respected jobs and CVs.

I’m having difficulty in finding ‘Unscrupulousness’ in my dictionary, but what I think Coco was attempting to convey-and I may well be wrong- is a value judgement about comments made to the media about jemmied windows and suchlike. Of course it might be about claims made to the media that the PJ leaked statements, for example, one allegedly referring to a discussion with Madeleine which it transpired had never been provided to the PJ.
As for the comment about Amaral I wish I could feel your certainty about what it actually means. As far as I can see it suggests that when all the facts are known Amaral will feel that he has cleared his own name. It doesn’t state that he will have cleared his name, the meaning you are trying to impute.
