What do we know about here?
She a brunette. And, as reported, she and one Ariella D’Gamo were “sleeping on the streets before a friend took them in. The worried pal took the eight-year-old girl to cops in Lagos, Portugal. She is now staying at a children’s home.”
How does Madeleine McCann fit in?
Bysh fled the resort — near where Madeleine McCann disappeared in May 2007 — but collapsed with kidney problems in Portimao 15 miles away.
That close, eh. Yesterday the incident was 25 miles from where our Maddie went missing. Such are the facts.

You mean Rose Ron’s grandfather who told police that he had killed the 4-year-old?
What more of their Maddie?
At its heart lies the bizarre love triangle in which little Rose’s grandfather fell in love with his son’s young bride and fathered two more daughters with her. Police say the grandfather has admitted killing the child and dumping her in a river, but no body has been found and there is no forensic evidence proving her death.
Just like our Maddie, then? It’s uncanny.

Apart from the usual how many people in the group, arrival PdL, planned departure, daily routines, etc., he says has nothing much to say about the diner between his arrival at 20:55 and Kate’s alarm round 22 pm. They had a listening device, so never got up from the table. The others - he only mentions Gerry, Jane and Matthew, not Russell - got up at random every 20 minutes to their their respective children, but he cannot remember in which order.

So does he say whether he saw Maddy AT ALL on 3 May 07? Surely with the “usual routine” you would expect this, e.g. at lunchtime or taking his own kids to the creche.
Did he really not say that Russell left the table? Interesting from Gerry’s statement (already posted on Anorak):
“The parents relaxed and had a drink in the appartent until 8.30 PM. After having checked that the children were asleep, they went with other grown ups to the Tapas restaurant, about 50 mètres away, for dinner. As usual, as the restaurant was near the appartment, every halh hour, G MC or his wife went to check that the children were OK.
At 9.05 PM, G MC entered the appartent thanks to his key, as the door was locked, and went to the children’s room, where he saw that the children were well. He went to the toilets for a moment, and after leaving the appartment, he saw somebody he had been playing with, they talked for a few moments, and he went back to the restaurant.
At 9. 30, a friend, MATT (member of the group) went to his own appartement where his children were. He entered G’s apartment, using a glass door which was always left open, on the side of the house. He saw the twins, checked that Madeleine was OK. Everything as normal, the shutters were closed, the bedroom door ajar as usual. Matt went back to the restaurant then.
At 10 PM, Kate went to check on the children.”
Gerry doesn’t seem to mention Russell either!

chatalaine, maybe the door was just open and you can see into it from the living room.
on a completely different note, i notice on the picture showing the child’s safety gate, that the gate seems to be fitted wrongly, it opens outwards, so any child leaning on it and managing to open it would, i think, tumble down those stairs.

According to Paulo Reis (who is fielding questions on another forum), David Payne claims to be the last person (apart from K&G) to see Maddy on 3 May 07. This claim was made to Leics Police later, it will be interesting to see what he said to the PJ in his first statement.
Incidentally Paulo Reis (who has the DVD) has also commented on the evidence of the priest Fr Pacheco, seems that those posters who said Fr Pacheco held the key to it all were having us on.

Remarkable is when he elaborates on the McCann apartment and says about the children’s room :”Qu’il n’est jamais entré dans ladite chambre mais qu’il a pu voir qu’il y avait deux lits et deux berceaux. Un des lits était placé contre la fenêtre et l’autre, celui occupé par Madeleine, était contre le mur d’en face de celui qui a une fenêtre.” … That he never went into that room, but has been able to see that there were two beds and two cots. The cots were placed in the middle of the room. One of the beds was under the window and the other one, used by Madeleine was against the wall opposite of the one under the window…
Why does he elaborate on not having entered the room, yet can describe the position of Madeleine’s bed, whereas Matt said he didn’t enter the room and thus could NOT see that bed?

Really? It’s difficult to follow all of the changes and meanings in so many different languages. My nephew was visiting me a couple of weeks ago and I was amazed at his use of certain words. And I’ve only been away from NL for 6 years …
I know to avoid the use of “Dutch” in English, unless it’s an expression I’m certain of its meaning

Rose’s story is again a terrible, tragic thing.
How many children disappear in this world, this way?
The mother is trying to get rid of all responsibility.
She was the prime responsible for that poor child.
Could it be the grandfather is protecting the mother?
I’m glad at least the grandmother gave alarm of the child’s disappearence.
Most grandmothers are decent, that is for sure.
And is that grandfather or is the mother a danger for the two other children?

I know Chernier. It’s blazing there still too. Considering I haven’t had a vacation since Dec last year when I went to St Lucia i’m certainly due one! Plus when baby arrives I don’t think I’ll be having a hol for quite some time. I don’t intend doing much in Corfu to be honest. Just swimming, sunbathing, eating and drinking and laughing. It was only a cheapy off the internet but that will do me!
