Bysh fled the resort — near where Madeleine McCann disappeared in May 2007 — but collapsed with kidney problems in Portimao 15 miles away.
That close, eh. Yesterday the incident was 25 miles from where our Maddie went missing. Such are the facts.

You mean Rose Ron’s grandfather who told police that he had killed the 4-year-old?
What more of their Maddie?

It seems that GM wasn’t in a good mood on the way over there (video on the bus) and maybe the infighting of the couple had already started before they arrived there and the others decided to stay away from them?
Another thing I find incomprehensible is that even having a Baby Monitor, the Paynes didn’t seem to have physically checked on their kids. I used a baby monitor at home when my daughter was little and I always checked on her regularly when she was sleeping, never relying on the monitor 103%.

Yesterday, they slightly modified their habits. Thus, she went to the beach with the children, her husband, and her mother Dianne. They arrived there at 3.45 and came back around 6.15 PM. to go to the tennis where they stayed until 7.00 . The witness then went to her appartement with her children and her mother. In the appartement, her mother gave a bath to the children with the help of her husband, while she was jogging on the beach until 8.00.

Yes its one fo the first things you do on arrival at the resort, unpack, catch up with each other and check out each others accomodation. Maybe if kate was moddy, and gerry too, they wanted to give them a wide birth, nothing worse than moddy people on hols

Can you prove there was? Absolutely not. There is far more pointing towards it not being abduction so what does that tell you? It tells you that the more likely scenario is no abduction but something else happening. What that was we dont know, yet but we will one day and when that day comes you’re gonna look like a complete and prick.

Maybe we all have old fashioned ideas of family holidays … Playing cards and games together, having picknicks, sitting endlessly on the veranda chatting instead of jogging & tennis.

It is a logistics nightmare to organize 4 families, take time of work all at the same time, etc. etc. to go on a holiday abroad. Why? To me it doesn’t seem that they are really friends. It seems more like they are acquaintances. Too many things don’t add up!

Daisy & wtf, and one afternoon some of the group went to the beach together with their kids and obvioulsy didn’t tell the Macs.
And yes, looking at your holiday mates’ hotel rooms and comparing it to your own is a normal thing. It’s fun, too.

well, for the first time we hear from one of the tapsa a different description of madeleine, i would’ve expected all reports to have differed somewhat when describing her.

I have always thought the whole group looked very plastic, and your right it didnt sound like a very close group of people, sounds more like they have tried avoiding each other, or more particularly the mccs!

Yes, I agree with you. I also get the impression from the statements that we have read so far, that it wasn’t a very happy holiday … all of them seem to have been doing their own thing and not much as a group, except for eating and drinking. Why did they go on holiday together, I wonder? It doesn’t seem that they visit each other now either, at least the press has never mentioned this.

What I find strange is that most of the witnesses don’t mention the sailing trip some of them did on that day. But I can’t remember which ones went sailing.

i agree about the apartment, isnt it normal to check each others apartments out, to see how they are similair or different. Its the same with hotel rooms if you are with a group of people, normally you are curious to see what other people have

Of course, if she had recognised Madeleine, I suppose she would have done something immediately, but she chose to say that she didn’t know who the child was. Maybe as an answer to a question from her friends like: “Do you think it could have been Madeleine?”, and told them she didn’t know.

I find it strange that FP did not, after knowing KM for so many years, ever go inside the McCanns apartment. If I was holidaying with people I knew, I think it would be quite normal to pop in to say hello in the mornings or ask what their plans were for the day, etc. etc. or even have a glass of wine in the evening.
It was a revelation that DP had been to Portugal 11 years earlier, or had he been visiting there more than once for 11 years?

Personally I think the significance of it is that they are very good at emphasising the trivial to distract people from the important.
