She a brunette. And, as reported, she and one Ariella D’Gamo were “sleeping on the streets before a friend took them in. The worried pal took the eight-year-old girl to cops in Lagos, Portugal. She is now staying at a children’s home.”
How does Madeleine McCann fit in?
Bysh fled the resort — near where Madeleine McCann disappeared in May 2007 — but collapsed with kidney problems in Portimao 15 miles away.
That close, eh. Yesterday the incident was 25 miles from where our Maddie went missing. Such are the facts.

You mean Rose Ron’s grandfather who told police that he had killed the 4-year-old?
What more of their Maddie?
At its heart lies the bizarre love triangle in which little Rose’s grandfather fell in love with his son’s young bride and fathered two more daughters with her. Police say the grandfather has admitted killing the child and dumping her in a river, but no body has been found and there is no forensic evidence proving her death.
Just like our Maddie, then? It’s uncanny.

Nobody can be sure that “they didn’t do it”. I want to believe that there was an abduction, but I can’t either. Too many inconsistencies and unanswered questions in both arguments.

Two things: first, I believe the Paraiso is AT the beach, and the report of their time at the beach matches the time they would have stopped there for a snack, and second, when did Jane Tanner misidentify the color of the child’s pajamas? In her very first statement, she describes an exact match to those Madeleine was wearing at the time of her disappearance. You can’t just take the parts you like out of the witness statements and discard the rest.
Look, it’s like this, you can keep perusing these released pages as long as you wish, but there’s a clear pattern emerging here: they didn’t do it. Just compare these notes to the 450-plus pages released in the Caylee Anthony disappearance here in the States (and, may I point out, released–IN THEIR ENTIRETY–THREE WEEKS into the investigation). The mom, in this instance, is a very “social” girl, but every friend, boyfriend, lover, family member, employer, etc. says basically that she is sweet, and great fun, BUT she lies, she steals, she’s selfish, she’s narcissistic, she sometimes seemed ambivalent about her child, etc., etc., etc.
True, in this case, those things have been said too. The difference is it’s only by strangers on internet forums. That’s a very BIG conspiracy, no? I mean, not a single, pissed-off, ex-girlfriend can be paid to say, “Oh, yeah, he has a bad temper!”??? Call me cynical and mercenary, but I don’t think so.

No I don’t blame the police. It might be that I just watch too many cop shows on TV and taken some statement on the spot seems to be the norm, whatever the situation.
No one envisaged that this case would become what it is now. A poor innocent little girl is gone.

Sam, and IN PARTICULAR she is reticient about meeting Jane, Russell, Matt and Rachel at the Paraiso: “They arrived there at 3.45 and came back around 6.15 PM. to go to the tennis where they stayed until 7.00″
That should be “They arrived there at 3.35, met up with Jane, Russell, Matt and Rachel and their children at the Paraiso for (drinks, ice cream, whatever)…” then we’re into the tennis bit.
Another interesting thing is that in his book Amaral says Dianne Webster wasn’t at the Paraiso. The News of the World said she was, and even point her out in the cctv still. They can’t both be right. Wonder how many kids were there at the Paraiso.

The kindest interpretation to put on JT’s “sighting” was that she was mistaken. I’m pretty sure JT was one of the Tapas 7 who refused to go back. I think she had most to lose by a reconstruction.
It would have been evident what she could not have seen under street lighting at that time and it would probably be evident that no person could walk by another in a street as narrow as that one was without being seen.

Thank you. If I make mistakes in English, or use expressions which don’t sound English, correct me please, so we can make the translations better.
As regards your questions, if you look at the site Enfants Kidnappés, they study the contradictions.
They say they are moderate in their conclusions, and refuse to accuse the parents of anything, but they also say that if you look objectively at the reports, someone among the Tapas friends is lying. The question being why. Professionnals cannot not seriously doubt the parents and friends’ account of the event. The people who are completely sure of their innocence are not taking some reasonable suspicions which necessarily arise into account. But the site refuses to jump to conclusions, and say they have what the police call “founded suspicions” (which they say the police is entitled to since the police are the best protection for a democracy, and the presumption of innocence works for a trial, not for the investigation).
The police say one of their first suspicions was that the mother, believeing Madeleine was abducted, didn’t protect her other children before she went back to the restaurants. The police were also surprised that the first reaction of the friends wasn’t to check into each other’s appartment before they checked everywhere in the complex.
They go on with a long list of strange things, like the calls erased from the cell phones, and say that the Birmingham laboratory first told the police that they found 15 markers out of 19 in the blood sample, comforting them that it was madeleine’s blood. It was only when the parents were named arguidos that the laboratory changed their conclusions. Since, by law, doubts always benefit the defence and not the prosecution in a trial, obviously, the doubts that the lab introduced later would benefit the arguidos.

She was working as a petrol pump attendant in a petrol station when i filled up today.
She was heavily disguised, what with looking taller, having a beard, dark hair and appearing to be male, but it was her alright. I know.

Yes, hindsight’s a wonderful thing but can you blame the police for not realising what this would become?
If they had had experience with parents claiming abductions before, then I’m sure they would have done just what you said. Even so, people could claim they were too upset to remember things clearly and now in the cold light of day…
Still, I think we would have been a bit wiser though.

Does anyone know who were the ones that didn’t want to go back for the re-construction? I remember reading (but who knows if this was true), that some of them had agreed to do the re-construction, including the McCanns, but others were opposed.

but who, if anyone at all, did jane tanner see then ? second scenario does sound more possible but the implications are then that jt lied or there were two people pfaffing around pdl carrying children or bundles. then again by her own account jane tanners child was ill that day and had been ill all day and still they went out.

I agree with you that Baby Monitors should never replace the supervision of an adult. They are just another device to help you “listen” on your kids, but from a close distance, IMO.

Whether there was an abduction or not, I firmly believe now that their checking of the kids did not happen as often as we are led to believe or in the order stated by them.
Unfortunately, I think any police force should have separated the group immediately that same night and interviewed them right then an there and not the day after. They had too much time to get their story together. They could have gone to the police station to do a formal written statement later, but the initial interviews should have been that same night, IMO.

Did you know Garth actually brought my unborn baby into the equation last night? Not only has he threatened me with physical violence, of which I have saved a copy of but he also last night sunk so low as to talk about my unborn baby and it getting abducted, of which I have also saved a copy. He does this as argument and yes I give as good as I get but I have never sunk as low as this retard. He is hanging himself inch by inch and trust me he will get hung because I’m saving every threat and make no mistake I will be forwarding it to my lawyer and the police. His physical threats don’t scare me one bit - I can more than look after myself not that I have ever resorted to physical violence but he has now pushed a little too far. Garth if you are reading I think you ought to start thinking seriosuly abotu what you are saying. This is your last and final warning.

Some thoughts about the “abduction”.
The official McCann view is that Jane Tanner really saw the abductor so he must have been in the apartment when Gerry was in there. That is why Bundleman still appears on their site.
But:
– how did the abductor know that the patio door wasn’t locked when he couldn’t have seen anyone enter through them?
– How was he not seen by Matt Oldfield who we now know passed by the apartment just a couple of minutes before Gerry did his check?
– Why would the abductor choose a time when people were due to make their checks on their apartments?
– Why put such a store on a witness whose testimony has been discredited e.g., (colours on the pyjamas) and who was not seen by people there at the time?
Compare this with a possible abduction done a few minutes before 10 o’clock
- the abductor would know that the patio doors were unlocked because he would have seen Matt Oldfield enter by them
- he would have had plenty of time for his abduction
- it was fully dark by that time
- the time fits in with an independent sighting by an Irish couple of a man carrying a child in PDL.
It’s funny that that this scenario has never been mentioned by the McCanns. Could it be that scenario 1 lets them off from a neglect charge whereas scenario 2 doesn’t?
But no, what kind of parents would do that? There must be some other explanation …

daisy, well jez’s wife, the writers description of the pair did sound rather idealistic and at odds to what we saw, such as on videos the hand clutching all the time. i’ve never had one of those baby monitors, don’t think they were around when my kids were small, i wouldn’t trust them completely and i dont’ think they’re meant to replace the actual presence of the parent.

Here is my opinion for those who want it, indeed also for those who don’t:
1.Fiona has known Kate a long time, and therefore presumably Gerry. Fiona knew Kate before she knew David. Remember, in his statement David said he and Fiona mainly hung around with Jane and Russell.
2.A slight change in habits on 3 May.
3.No mention of her seeing maddy on 3 May
4.No specific mention of the Paraiso (for the 3 May or any night” and a rather unclear timeline after 6.15 pm on 3 May.
5.I know I’m sounding like a scratched record, but no mention of David’s visit to Kate at 6.40.
6.No mention of Gerry’s meeting with Jes Wilkins.
7.It seems she is saying that the 10 pm check wasn’t Kate’s first check.
8.David, Fiona (and presumably Dianne) didn’t get up from the Tapas table until the alarm was raised (not to go to the apartments anyway. I’m assuming there would be toilets etc at the restaurant itself.)
I’m still looking forward to the other statements though to be honest I’ve read enough now.

So, why didn’t GM and DP go with them sailing?? In my experience, when there is a group of people, the women hang around together with the kids, and the man form their own little group appart to do “boys” stuff. This holiday is certainly not a normal holiday, IMO.
