A British man told police that her mother Stephanie Bysh, 44, had been ‘drinking heavily’… The town is five miles from Praia da Luz, where missing toddler Madeleine McCann disappeared in May last year from a rented apartment.
Yes, just five miles.
Yesterday, it was all just 15 miles from where our Maddie went missing.
The day before that it was all occuring 25 miles from Praia da Luz.
Anorak estimates that inside week, little Ariella will be actually inside the apartment used by the McCanns that fateful trip…

AZ, Your question wasn’t addressed to me, but I would certainly agree, and I note that, so far, they seem to be dovetailing amazingly well. Certainly it couldn’t be that they’re telling the truth; it MUST be a conspiracy. I will have to recheck the sketches for the location of any grassy knolls.

Did any of the Tapas see MM on the third? I thought that one of them popped back in to see if kate was OK with the kids. Anyway the nannies must have said they saw her in the creche or there were independent sightings elsewhere-

Or of anything else, but I’m sure you lot will figure it out. I’ve another one of those dilemmas though; if it was nationalist, racist, biased, elitist, bigoted, and just plain wrong to suggest that the PJ were making mistakes while the investigation was ongoing, why is none of that for a bunch of armchair detectives to hover over the translated files, confident you can solve a case they admitted they couldn’t? Let me guess–it’s all in the interest of international cooperation? LOL
And, oh, one more: because a group of witnesses end up recalling their previous days with a fifteen minute margin of error, they are clearly liars and/ or co-conspirators, but some completely unrelated columnist appears a year later with an editorial chock full of factual errors, and we’re not just tolerant–we’re elated? Sure, seems fair to me.

I went to e-Mail Julie and tell her what you said, she had already e-mailed me to say her
problem with the computer was solved. Apparently, she had been out all day and says
she looks like a Turkey and was going to catch up on her e-mails.
Regarding your comment on the files, I too do not believe we will learn much, two
items interested me:-
1 Fiona Payne, in her statement says she went to 5a to comfort Kate when Madeleine
went missing and Kate was like a lunatic, punching walls etc. Also, she kept going
to the twins cots, who miraculouslyslept through all the noise, and putting her hand
over their mouths to check they were breathing.. “wierd” is how Fiona described this.
2. In the case of the Belgian “sighting”, I watched a News item on T.V. where the Head
of a Belgian Missing Children”s Unit was being interviewed. He said they received
copy of an e-mail from Scotland Yard supposedly from an informant saying that
Madeleine had been “chosen “etc. The Belgian guy said there was insufficient info
for them to investigate and asked SY for more details, they never received a reply.
Personally, I think the McCanns shot themselves in the foot because it has been proven that PJ did follow up any info on a disappearance of someone who after all
was not a Portugese Citizen. Too much interference from people in high places IMO

You are setting yourself up for a serious disappointment there Coco. You are relying on the contents of the PJ files to deliver an answer to the mystery. This is not going to happen. A handful of posters here on Anorak are not going to find anything in those files that the PJ failed to notice. The PJ brought in post Amaral, show every sign of being conscientious, astute and competent.
Do you not think it more than a bit presumptuous of you to believe that a few Anorakians are more competent than the PJ?
The crime scene was seriously compromised from the outset and on subsequent occasions. There may have been something at the scene which could have, if not eradicated, lead to a different outcome than has occurred.
Unfortunately, it seems likely to me that Amaral jumped to the conclusion the parents were involved from the outset and so directed the investigation with a singular aim of proving that assumption. In doing so, he applied a bias to the investigative effort which precluded the gathering or preservation of evidence which might have indicated an abduction occurred.
The opportunity of solving this mystery was thus lost, and is why there has been no solution to the mystery.

Hi there, is the answer still in Ireland?
Madeleine was made a Ward of Court before the McCanns were made arguidos. It was
recommended by a QC because she is a British citizen and would ensure the British
Police would continue to search for her if anything happened to the Parents presumably. That is why the MCanns went to the High Court to get the files relating
to the search released, because effectively it was the High court making the request.,
very clever.!!!!!
