A British man told police that her mother Stephanie Bysh, 44, had been ‘drinking heavily’… The town is five miles from Praia da Luz, where missing toddler Madeleine McCann disappeared in May last year from a rented apartment.
Yes, just five miles.
Yesterday, it was all just 15 miles from where our Maddie went missing.
The day before that it was all occuring 25 miles from Praia da Luz.
Anorak estimates that inside week, little Ariella will be actually inside the apartment used by the McCanns that fateful trip…

Marie, BTW haven’t been on-line much the past days, because someone visited me last Friday & Saturday. She’s off now again and I won’t see her again till mid October … and maybe at the Côte d’Azur. As we were talking the other day about meeting then too: I think Saturday 11 or Monday 13 would be a possibility. How about you? And how do we get in touch?

I sent an e-mail to the journalist. He answered, admitting he made a mistake, about the cots in the living room, and about Kennedy being American. I also told him about the Irish family speaking to the PJ later. I don’t think those details were very important in his mind. He probably draws his conclusion from other facts, which he explains quite well. Nevertheless, he said that he would correct them, and maybe add to his article later.
In France, I think that without knowing all the details of the case exactly, most people think there is something strange about it, and probably most people harbour doubts about the parents’version. It reminds us of the terrible case of a little boy called Gregory who was found tied up and dead in a river, maybe 30 years ago, and nobody will ever know for sure what happened, though some indicators were pointing to the mother. It took place in a rural area in the Vosges mountains (east of France), and the police dealt with it very badly from the start. The judge was very bad too. In the end, the mother was set free after a few weeks in jail, as there was absolutely no proof of anything, except a significant change in her phone bills (a lot of anonymous threatening phone calls had been sent in the village). She made some money selling pictures to the newspapers and magazines.
