Sarah Palin: Black Bristol, Teenage Moms And Trig Of The News Dump
SARAH Palin Watch: Anorak’s look at Sarah Palin in the news…
BBC: The BBC is leading with news that Sarah Palin’s teenage daughter Bristol (he-he) is with child. She is pictured holding her four-month old brother Trig, the one some wrongly claim is hers.
The BBC’s Sian Williams mentions rumours that have been circulating on the internet. The BBC is the official broadcaster of unfounded rumour and teenage pregnacy.
ITV: Palin confirms daughter’s pregnancy
Mr McCain’s spokesman Steve Schmidt said: “Senator McCain’s view is this is a private family matter. As parents, the Palins love their daughter unconditionally and are going to support their daughter. Leave the kids alone.”
THE TIMES (front page): “McCain’s running mate reveals home truths”
A picture of Bristol (stop it) cradling Trig, her brother.
THE AGE (Aus): “Palin’s teen daughter pregnant”
The picture is of Bristol “nursing” her brother Trig.
DAILY TELEGRAPH: “US elections: Laura Bush defends Sarah Palin against sexist attacks - Laura Bush has rallied to the defence of Sarah Palin, John McCain’s presidential running mate, warning that Democratic attacks on the governor of Alaska could backfire.”
“The other side will have to be particularly careful,” the First Lady said. Asked if the noisy reaction to the story is evidence of sexism in the American media, which Hillary Clinton claimed to have identified during her battle with Mr Obama, Mrs Bush said: “I think that’s a possibility.”
TIME: “A Slow, Shaky Start for the GOP”
Without headline speakers, the media here had little to talk about except the Arctic answer to All My Children — McCain’s running mate, Governor Sarah Palin of Alaska. In today’s episode, the campaign announced that Palin’s 17-year-old daughter Bristol is pregnant. If elected, Palin will be the first vice-president in memory to take the oath of office with a child and a grandchild in diapers.
HUFF POST: What If Bristol Palin Was Black?
What do you think conservatives would have to say about her? “Typical, urban youth with no sense of responsibility raised with loose morals who plans to depend on the state to take care of her child.” You know it. It’s not within dispute. That’s exactly what they would say.
No need to think, then.
CONTACT MUSIC: “BARBRA STREISAND - STREISAND SLAMS MCCAIN’S CHOICE OF RUNNING MATE”
“I believe John McCain chose Gov. Palin because he truly believes that women who supported Hillary - an experienced, brilliant, life-long public servant - would vote for him because his Vice President has two x chromosomes.”
X marks the spot.
SAWF: “Bristol Palin’s baby daddy describes himself as a ‘[bleep]in redneck’”
September 2, 2008 (Sawf News) - Bristol Palin’s baby daddy has been identified as 17-year-old hockey player Levi Johnston who describes himself on his MySpace page as a “[bleep]in redneck” and acknowledges he is in a relationship, but says “I don’t want kids.”
“But I live to play hockey. I like to go camping and hang out with the boys, do some fishing, shoot some s- - - and just f - - -in’ chillin’ I guess,” says the very eloquent lad.
Mooooooooooose…

You are killing me!
as Tina would say “What’s love got ta do wit it?”
What parent catapults their family into the national spot light with so much negative attention? When is the last time any of you met a happy to be pregnant unwed teen? Most of them only have highschool ridicule to worry about. Not Bristol, she has every news publication on God’s green earth judging her.
The guidance (that was obviously lacking) that she will need will be hard to get from Bangladesh or where ever the VEEP is……………………..
Considering all of the scrutiny that Palin and her family are under you would think she
would have said “Thanks but no thanks” to the offer. Palin would have continued on as Gov -AK and no one would have cared. At the end of the day it will be poor Bristol who will be remembered negatively.
I am sure Sarah Palin loves her daughter very much but as far as protecting her (in all aspects) she did not make the grade. She is still failing
Poor thing will probably need that Bridge to no where to get the hell outta Dodge

A mother is one who bears a child is a gift from God. she has a great responsiblity . once she knows she is with child she must make a decision about the care of this child.
It is a sin not to . A true mother that loves her child will sacrafice what ever she must for her child and its well being. In the Bible the book of I King , Chapter 3 verses 16-27
Shows a true mother s love for her child. Read it .
One day two postitutes came and presented themselves before King Solomon. One of them said, “Your Majesty, this woman and I live in the same house and I gave birth to a baby boy at home while she was there.
Two days after my child was born, she also gave birth to a baby boy. Only the two of us were there in the house-no one else was present, then one night she accidentally rolled over on her baby and smothered it. She got up during the night and took my son from my side whiled I was asleep and carried him to her bed; then she put the dead child in my bed.
The next morning when I woke up and was going to nurse my baby, I saw it was dead. I looked closely and saw it was not my child. The other woman said, “No! The living child is mine and the dead one is your!” The first woman answered back , “No! The dead child is yours and the living one is mine!” and so they argued before the king.
Then King Solomon said “Each of you claim the living child is hers and the dead child belong to the other one.” He sent for a sword and when it was brought , he said “Cut the living child in two and give each woman half of it.
The real mother her heart full of love for her son , said to the king”Don’t kill the child give it to her!’ the other woman said, don’t give it to either of us; cut it in two. Then Solomon said, Don’t kill the child! Give it to the first woman she is the real mother.”
Only Sarah Palin knows how much she loves her precious little son who may never realize very much about life but will surely know his mothers love if she is there for him.
It does matter to this child what or how smart his mother is he only needs love. will she sacrafice and give him her love or will she cut him in two for fame and fortune? who needs Sarah Palin the most ? The United States of American or her son trig ? Will
she allow him to be cut in half by leaving him in the hands of a nanny or burden her already burdened 17 year old daughter to care for him ?
Will Sarah Palin Settle for half family ? Do She think she is a good example as a mom
to the USA jugging her human family like jugging apples ? Is that all they means to her?
Sarah Palin , Tell John McCain “Thanks But No Thanks” THOSE FOUR WORDS WILL
BE TRUE

YOU GO JUJU!!!!!!

*I* was an unwed mother and *I* did not end up on making YOU pay for welfare for me. I have a college education and earn a good salary. My son has a child out of wedlock and he is paying child support. He is also attending college. The mother to his child was provided sex ed in school. Lot of good it did. She now has a 22 month old with my son and a 6 month old with another boyfriend.
There are a lot of us who just made mistakes when we were young, but people like you, who call yourselves “open minded”, make the strictest and quickest judgments, the most finger pointing, and the most crude remarks. Given the rate of teen pregnancies under the safe-sex education system, I do not agree that Bristol’s pregnancy (she’s named after Bristol Bay, which is beautiful) will cause any change in the rate. If you are going to say it is caused by abstinence education, then explain all the pregnant teen girls in the high schools getting the safe-sex education….. ah, nevermind, you can’t, which figures. The explosion in teen pregnancies happened after sex education was put into the schools, but you won’t accept that as fact because you don’t want to do so.
Banning books for explicit content is a separate issue and has something to do with parental rights - to determine what our kids, even elementary age, should or should not be reading. Maybe that is a hard concept for you. You know, letting kids be kids instead of thinking they should be adults by age 9 with all the rights that are given to adults but still expecting the parents to be responsible for their behavior (demonstrated by your words and tone).
I don’t try to predict the future, obviously you are a novice/apprentice fortuneteller, so I won’t say they, or ANY other couple of ANY age, ANY sexual orientation, ANY racial background, or ANY religious (or non) background will divorce. I won’t say she will wind up on welfare with “US” paying for it. I will say that you have no ability to be open minded or supportive to anyone who falls from the pedestal you believe people must sit upon to win your approval. I don’t want your approval, and I certainly don’t care if I ever get it. It is worthless because it has no human quality to it.
As a working mom facing similar problems with balancing family and work, only privately and not worldwide, I have to admire Sarah for her strength. You, however, have not shown anything other than a bitter, spiteful resentment with no real basis for it. You ramble with no truth to your words. You just must be the most angry person all the time. I pity people like you because you are never happy unless you are griping about someone else or belittling someone. Get over yourself and move on.
September 10th, 2008 at 3:24 am
You have got to be kidding me! Sarah Palin is all about preaching abstinence. She even tried to ban books from the local library for there explicit content. Why isnt she practicing here abstinence beliefs at home?? I know you can’t control what your kids are going to do as they get older, but I’m thinking her hard core beliefs haven’t been instilled in her children very well. And poor Bristol is going to be a divorced mom on welfare with US paying for yet another young mother with a baby out of wedlock. But hey, it’s OK because the VP’s daughter did it right?

If Sarah Palin were a typical politician she would have handled her daughters pregnancy in an entirely different manner. Palin was originally approached by the McCain campaign in February, long before her daughter was pregnant. Most of our politicians today would have forced their daughters to have an abortion and sweep everything under the carpets so as not to embarass them or hurt their political aspirations. Sarah Palin realizes, as most moms in America, that children make mistakes. This has nothing to do with Sarah Palin’s character or parenting skills. As a mother of 4, 2-boys and 2-girls, I pray that my daughters and sons will make good choices as they grow into adulthood. I don’t expect them to be flawless and I won’t abandon them when they slip, trip or fall. I also pray that the younger ones will benefit from the older ones mistakes. I appreciate that Sarah Palin is a real mom in a real world and that she loves her kids unconditionally, and most important, she is not embarassed by them. This is a personal family matter and it should be left in the Palin’s household to handle in the manner that works best for that family. I believe that Sarah Palin scares many people. She is a working mom with a normal family, with all the ups and downs that most of us deal with in the normal world. Her words hit home with so many American families. People can relate to her because she is where so many of us are. She understands our real concerns and fears and beliefs. And that scares the other side.

The whole thing is sickening- all of these negative comments. And to ask if this will make teen pregnancy “sky rocket” is ridiculous. The truth is out about Trig give it up already.
The dems are all about the woman’s right to choose- is that only good if she chooses to get an abortion and not if she decide to keep the baby?
One thing I would like to know is this: Sarah Palin is associated with a girl (her daughter) who made a mistake and has become preg. but Oboma has associations with terrorists and men who practice shady business deals and even a pastor that made despicable comments- but no one on this site cares about that?????
Priorities are definitely in the wrong place!!!
September 6th, 2008 at 9:20 am
This whole thing is deplorable; it is the “MURPHY BROWN” of the 2000s. Teenagers all over the country will now point to Sarah and Bristol Palin as their “excuse” for getting themselves “into a jam”… Will people be as eager to condone this cr*p when the already-burgeoning teen pregnancy rate skyrockets as a consequence of Sarah Palin’s OUTING of her own daughter in this way?
The whole thing is sickening. For many reasons.
And the mysteries surrounding Trig are a whole nother story–let’s hope the TRUTH will soon emerge surrounding all of it.

jn - you mean there’s some black trash there as well….? it’s nice to be egalitarian about these things….

Has anyone heard the father actually speak - out?
Totally spreading gossip - what if the baby is really Sarah Palin’s step-son the product of an affair that her husband had?
Oooh, juicy!
September 2nd, 2008 at 8:41 pm
As her husband is white and native alaskan, I would think it would make sense to name their children after places in alaska. I know Trig “is Norse for “true” or “strength” and is middle name of Paxson is a lake.
Bristol Bay is a beautiful place in AK.
Willow is a small community.
All I know is her names are tame compared to my kids. =)
September 2nd, 2008 at 7:14 pm
gee, why do we think alaska is all about white trash?

Actually, an awful lot of teenage pregnancies fail, but an election is an election…

Be reasonable, people!
They had to do something to distract from heroic Vladimir Putin saving a TV crew from the jaws of a Siberian tiger; shooting the odd moose just doesn’t hack it!
Teenage pregnancy never fails…
September 2nd, 2008 at 11:39 am
calling her daughter Bristol surely puts her judgement into question…??
as for Trig - I just can’t help thinking about Only Fools and Horses….
September 2nd, 2008 at 11:24 am
Oh, what a mess! Daughter not taught anything and now look what she has got herself into and looks like a shotgun marriage too…then there will be a divorce. Obama will will this election now and that should settle things down.

I hope Sarah Palin is better at running a country than she is at choosing children’s names
