Three Fans React With Fury As Kevin Keegan Resigns

by | 5th, September 2008

THREE days ago Anorak told you: “Kevin Keegan Sacked As Newcastle United Manager”

No chance, said the papers. King Kev was on his throne. He was lovin it, just lovin’ it at Newcastle.

Now three days on the media rushes to show the world that King Kev has abdicated and that the lachrymose Geordie fans are a-weepin’ and a-wailin’ more than usual.

The Sun: “Fury as Keegan resigns”

“Fan hurls Toon top into Tyne” – The fury is a Newcastle United supporter being photographed throwing a shirt into the local river.

BBC:

The Sun says the fans have gathered to protest. How many? Six. Six fans. “ASHLEY WISE OUT,” says their piece of cardboard and marker pen.”

Back again live to the scene and three fans are shouting at traffic. Back again, and there are two of them…

Such is the fury…
