According to comparison site uSwitch, the average increase in the cost of gas has been 28%, while electricity prices have shot up by 20%.
Says EDF:
EDF defended its spending hike, saying energy had ‘moved from being a commodity to being a brand’

Speaking of energy alternatives….
If you could harnass the mystery energy source that enables a Steak Pastie to burn your mouth and tongue ages after you have purchased it, you would be a millionaire.

I meant to say ‘would’ instead of ‘who’ that second time…never mind, it’s my own fault for being a lush.
We are a bizarre schizophrenic country aren’t we? We moan endlessly (en masse and in the abstract - fortunately not individually - at least not around me anyway, thank dear hairy Christ) about foreigners ‘coming over here and taking our jobs and women’. Then we let French and German energy companies into our homes to lift cash straight out of our wallets.
“Sorry kids, it’s just one Christmas present each this year. Some fatarse energy company CEO needs another roll of gold leaf toilet paper.”

Alternatively, can’t we just shoot them?
On the grounds that clearly they have been bitten by rabid dogs, hence their lunatic claims, and should be put out of their misery…

Good job they don’t do food…
BREAD™ - The staff of life. It’s a brand, not a staple foodstuff that you need to eat so that you don’t die.
I understand that these monstrosities (who, let’s face it, would have been done for profiteering were the ‘war on terror’ a real war instead of just a marketing ploy by big petro) have been given a licence to bend us over and have their way with us; but I have to object when they start biting the back of our f**king head while doing so.
