I had friends like that when young, one of the hazards of being a young man in the UK.

They are really insecure, and because of that (and our hatred of controversy that so many take advantage of) people back down to them. This gives them the massive misapprehension that they are an Alpha Male.

Until other males like me got bored of it and offered them outside or whatever, and bang goes the Alpha male, but the desperate insecurity remains.

Maybe one day God or whoever it is will grant him the maturity to look back and cringe.

We can only hope, but all this hype won’t really help his cause, then again we love young people self-consciously unconsciously being really psychologically obvious and making those mistakes that thankfully we never made in front of a camera.
