
Stephen Hawking’s Corpus Clock
THIS is Stepehn Hawking’s clock. IT features a giant grasshopper and has 60 slits cut into its face which light up to show the time.
Its creator John Taylor said he “wanted to make timekeeping interesting”.

‘Bad money drives out good’ as Sir Thomas Gresham noted; I’d like to think, Anokra, that we are looking at the grasshopper, the crest to his coat of arms, to remind ourselves of that fact as the financial markets melt around us.
