HAVING read “the heartbreaking TRUTH that destroys the lies of Portuguese police”, the oh-so-caring News of The World tells its readers:
“We today offer Kate our immediate and sincere apologies.”
No need, surely..?
The News of the World only published extracts from Kate McCann’s private diary because it cares. It wants to help. It has investigated the case of her daughter’s vanishing and found that the Portuguese police are bungling and to blame.
Yeah, those sicko coppers like Goncalo Amaral who seek to profit from the McCanns agony by publishing books. Not sure how much Amaral’s book costs, but the NOTW is under a pound.
Says the paper:
“We published the extracts in the belief held in good faith that we had Kate’s permission to do so.”
Did the caring NOTW ask Kate McCann to publish extracts from her diary, or just think she would agree to it?
The extracts also appeared in The Sun, the NOTW’s sister paper. How did the paper come by them? A police leak? How the papers hate those:

As the NOTW explains:
“It is now clear that our belief was misplaced, and that, in fact, Kate neither approved of nor knew the extracts were to be published.”
“Belief”. Yeah, not fact, just an educated hunch…
That apology in full:
Last week we published extracts from Kate McCann’s diaries and explained in the article that we were doing so to “nail the lies” about Kate created by selective leaking from the diaries by Portuguese police.
No, not to make easy headlines, to keep the story alive and sell more newspapers (surely to keep Our Maddie in the public eye? - Ed).
We published the extracts in the belief held in good faith that we had Kate’s permission to do so. It is now clear that our belief was misplaced, and that in fact Kate neither approved of nor knew that the extracts were to be published.
Misplaced. Not wrong…
Upon learning of our error we immediately removed the extracts from our website and we today offer Kate our immediate and sincere apologies. We have agreed to make a donation to be used in the search for Madeleine. The News of the World remains wholly supportive of the McCanns and their continuing campaign to find their daughter.
Make a donation, or be sued, perhaps…

I love those dogs! They are brilliant little Darlings and swayed any doubts that my Hubby had in his scientific little head!
The only reason that I can think anybody may have stated that they were 20 yeras older is because they have had advisors who have told them that if they move - they can’t change their identity - only parts of it - because ………………..
For instance - if they moved out of their barracks of an impersonal home in Rothley - people would find it harder to find them …………….

i checked the electoral role for the duo in Rothley….it gives their age range between 60and 65….I checked all my relatives and they where spot on..probably nothing but I just found it strange

I couldn’t agree more the doggies with a hundred % record indicated that a dead body had been in that apartment, so I expect the Mccteam (Or whats left of it!) will put all efforts into finding out who died there !
Oh, and all the other dead bodies that had been lying at various places and inside cars around PDL at the time, not to mention all the pools of blood slopping about all over the resort.

Sam! I think that the pics of her tell a different story than the Clannies tell us about her.
There is a tired baggy-eyed look that some people have medically or genetically - but M’s eyes look knackered and soulful to me. I have a theory that I won’t go too far into on here because it would bore some people - but sometimes when you know somebody has had tragedy or will meet with a tragic end - they have certain look.
Many abducted children and murder victims have it - it’s horrendous when you can feel somebody through their eyes.

If McCain doesn’t win I am going to overdose myself on sleeping tablets and insulin!!! I can’t take anymore of the UK at the moment. I am getting lines around my eyes! And I can’t even have botox because I have trigeminal neuralgia - lol.

I am very pissed off with LP for not ensuring that the PJ received information that they were in receipt of - for months!!!
In my expert judgement - it was not LP’s own personal information and the PJ were deliberately kept in the dark by their calculated tardiness.
This is inexcusable and difficult to come to terms with.
M is a British subject and is being treated worse than an illegal immigrant. Shame on the UK Government, the UK Police, Press Association and the Clan for not getting their fingers out and making sure that this case is solved!!!!
It can be solved! It can be solved within weeks! The Portuguese Police know this and Anorakians know it. We are not special! We are not the only brains on the Planet! Everybody knows that this has been a fucking farce from Day 1
This case does not need to be sat on the back-burner of a political oven waiting for a brave news Editor-Man or one of the Clannies to come up with yet another scenario.
The UK Police have a duty to find out what happened to one of HM’s subjcects! The Clannies should want to ensure that that the public know that they were wrongly accused!
