The Madeleine McCann Christian Prayer Circle Says God Took Her
MADDIE WATCH - Anorak’s at-a-glance guide to press coverage of Madeleine McCann, Kate McCann and Gerry McCann
CHRISTIANITY TODAY: “Christians pray for missing Madeleine”
Christians around the world joined in prayer on Friday for the safe return of missing Madeleine McCann and the release of all children held by criminal networks.
Do the Christians know what happened to Madeleine, then?
The worldwide day of prayer was organised by the Madeleine Prayer Circle.
Join hands…
The group’s John Wearne says:
“We feel that the battle is spiritual and by going through prayer that God will listen to the cries of His people and that this will sway the spiritual balance in Madeleine’s favour.”
Demons took her?
“Everything is done through God and there is total belief that one day Madeleine will one day come home. God may have a greater plan for others and may well be using Madeleine in that plan. We petition God always for His will to be done and ask that Madeleine be brought home.”
So it was God that took Madeleine?
IRISH INDEPENDENT: “Family seeking closure as search resumes for Fiona”
THE mother of missing woman Fiona Pender has only only wish: to lay her daughter to rest alongside her late father and brother.
Sad stuff. Go on:
Ms Pender was eight months pregnant when she went missing on the morning of August 23, 1996. Twelve years after her disappearance, gardai are still trying to find her body.
Such are the facts. And our Maddie?
Officers have told Mrs Pender that a top investigator, who was involved in the investigation into the disappearance of Madeleine McCann, is working alongside gardai.
Now, there’s a comfort. There might be a book in this, after all. It’s Ireland’s Maddie, no?
STUFF (NZ): “Top 10 TV picks: September 23-29”
Anything good on?
Sunday Theatre: Torn: Child abduction drama that could have been torn from the headlines of the Madeleine McCann case - but then fast-forwards 12 years to the mother thinking she’s seen her missing daughter. Coronation Street’s Bradley Walsh (Danny Baldwin) stars. Part one of two.
Fact and fiction. A super-fiction. Now that’s entertainment…

Oddfield : “That the door through which he entered the apartment was closed but not locked.”
Kate : “At around 22h00, the interviewee went to check on the children. She went into the apartment by the side door, which was closed.”
So it looks like they both used the patio doors.
Gerry : “Thus, at 21h05, the interviewee entered the apartment using his key, the door being locked, and went to the children’s room and noted that the twins and Madeleine were OK.”
Looks like Gerry used the front door. And it was Gerry who said Kate used her key and Matt [Oldfield] used the patio door at the side of the building, which was allways open.
********************
So if the Apartment WAS locked then according to their stories Gerry must have left by the Patio doors.
That rules out an intruder already in the apartment then, which only leaves about 4 minutes for an “Ahabductor” before “Tan her” sights him…………
No way in for an Abdoctor + No exit + no time = NO ABDUCTION

Yampster
No worries. I used one for years - still have it somewhere.
If it has such sentimental meanings attached, it can’t be bettered.
These days I have something that uses 1 AA, is less than half the size of a Minimag, and has variable output from half that of the Minimag to over 20 times the output.
I’m feeling all geeky all of a sudden.

Speaking about the DVD,
does any of you know if the PJ questioned the Consul in Algarve, asking him about eventual odd behaviour of the parents?
Did the PJ questioned other people of the consulate or even the ambassador?
I know they questioned Father Pacheco and talked to the British minister(Anglican).
Why not people from the consulate?

I remember trying to work out the sight lines, which would also be the light lines, and concluding at the time that it really didn’t work, but I’ve spent so much time today on completely different matters that I’m having difficulty in switching from ‘Troubled Assets’ to ‘Bewildering Stories’.
At the end of the day I find them as implausible as each other…
I must get to bed now; goodnight all…

chenier, we only know that from kate though. though didn’t oldfield walk around that way earlier and notice the shutters were down ? which doesn’t actually contradict the idea that they may have been opened later.
***********************
If they were, carrying out a listening service, why didn’t Oldfield just listen at the shutters the second time ? is it because he would definitely have noticed the shutters up ?
Why did GM check just 5 minutes after Oddfield if they were checking every 1/2 hour ?
None of the stories add up, do they ?
Was the reason for these stories just to avoid neglect charges ? or was it more sinister ?
If it was the former then at that point they put M into even more danger, because their stories were not going to be believed IMO

chenier, you don’t think the light from the large patio windows would have been enough ? i think if the kids bedroom door is open the light would shine right in as it’s almost a straight line and the door opens inwards to the room. i think the exit via the window very implausible when there was a front door and patio doors to get out of plus in the room there was a lot of furniture to steer around and climb over. the idea of an abdutor going out through that bedroom window is very implausible. but maddie may never have been in the bedroom that evening.

The shutters were certainly partially opened later, but from what I can recall of the lay out of the apartment the only source of light to the children’s room would have been electric, or the opened shutters.
If you look at the pictures released from the PJ’s files you can see why the press immediately abandoned the exit via the window hypothesis as soon as they were made public…

Maybe, but in its day it was the best ever, besides, it was my mother’s torch and means a lot to me

“I always carry one of those maglight torches when I go abroad. Bloody marvellous aren’t they?”
Sorry, they are terrible. There is much, much better available.
September 23rd, 2008 at 11:40 pm
Sam
The problem with your scenario is that one of the reasons Kate McCann gave for immediately knowing that something was wrong was the fact that there was light in the children’s bedroom when it should have been dark….
September 23rd, 2008 at 11:40 pm
and can we be sure it wasn’t kate that was seen outside the apartment at ca 10pm at that window trying to jemmy them up to make it look like an abduction ?

Sorry, I just don’t believe in a conspiracy. As soon as more as one person knows a secret, it’s no secret any more. Gerry, Oddfield and Kate went into the appartment to check, that’s what they’ve stated. So either the streetlights provided enough light to walk through the appartment or they turned on the lights. Simple as that.
**********************
Isn’t a pact a conspiracy ? How do you think Oddfield entered the apartment ?
and if it was by the Patio doors why did Kate state that she used a key later ?
There wasn’t a lock on the outside of the Patio doors !
September 23rd, 2008 at 11:33 pm
so you have full moon, a well lit alleyway and street, patio door shutters up and shutters up a bit in the parents bedroom, plenty of light to move around without having to switch on lights and alert passerbys to your presence i think.
September 23rd, 2008 at 11:31 pm
Btw 2nd May 2007 was Full Moon
3rd May 2007 sunrise 06:37, sunset 20:30

presumably the sliding door shutters were up too.if it was left unlocked. i do think an abduction was staged.

Exactly Toje. That’s where they lost the plot very early on. That’s why nothng adds up because it was all done in haste. Only later did they have to answer their own questions. They all just thought that because they had the heavies in place very early on, they would never have to answer any questions at all. They didn’t reckon on British public outcry albeit on forums.
