The group’s John Wearne says:
“We feel that the battle is spiritual and by going through prayer that God will listen to the cries of His people and that this will sway the spiritual balance in Madeleine’s favour.”
Demons took her?
“Everything is done through God and there is total belief that one day Madeleine will one day come home. God may have a greater plan for others and may well be using Madeleine in that plan. We petition God always for His will to be done and ask that Madeleine be brought home.”
So it was God that took Madeleine?

catalina, it’s not clear if kate and the twins travelled with gerry or not, it would be odd if not and gerry travelled on the 12th. i havent read the diaries so can’t check if it was the 12th that kate mentions washing cuddlecat, or the trip or the baptism.

According to Gerry’s blogs on mccannfiles he flew alone to the UK on 12th July. His entry for 14th reads as follows:
“Kate, the twins and myself attended a family baptism today in Yorkshire where we stood as Godparents. At the end of the short service, which was lovely, prayers were said for Madeleine. It is the first time Kate has been to the UK since Madeleine disappeared but we wanted to support our family the same way they have supported us over the last ten weeks and it was great to see so many family members together. We have also taken a huge amount of strength from our faith and of course the messages of support and prayers for Madeleine from people of all faiths around the world.
And on 15th July, he says:
Travelled back to Portugal today on an early morning flight. It was heartening to see various posters of Madeleine up at all the check-in desks especially with the busy holiday season underway. The flight itself was quiet for Kate and I as the twins fell asleep shortly after take-off.
I don’t remember whether the trip to the UK was mentioned in what the NOTW alleges to be Kate’s diary, but maybe the newspaper left bits out if they didn’t think they were interesting. I wonder if she washed Cuddle Cat because she didn’t want people to think it was dirty when she was in the UK - if she took it with her, of course. Aren’t there any photos of the McCanns at this baptism? It would seem strange if there aren’t.

oh i see, just checked, according to the mccanfiles it was in yorkshire so presumably yes. that’s about a two hour drive from here, so maybe 2.5 from rothley.
