Paedos And Islam: Celebrating A Firebombing At The Jewel Of Medina

by | 28th, September 2008

THE FIFTH Rule of Tabloid Journalism states that all stories must contain a celebrity element.

So here are three men allegedly pouring petrol through the letter box of Martin Rynja’s Islington home – he’s “the boss of a publishing company that is to release a novel about the private life of the Prophet Mohammed.”

The book, The Jewel Of Medina, is a fictional account of the Prophet’s relationship with his nine-year-old bride Aisha. Says the blurb:

“Married at nine to the much older Muhammad, Aisha uses her wits, courage and sword to defend her first-wife status even as Muhammad marries again and again, taking 12 wives and concubines in all.”

Paedos and Islam. It’s tabloid dreamland. Bring it on. You can read more about it here.

But before you do, the Mail says the attack “drew parallels with the threats on Salman Rushdie’s life after he wrote The Satanic Verses”.

Rushdie was never firebombed. There is no fatwa against Mr Runja. But a celebrity has been introduced to the story, as it must be. But Rushsie… Can’t we find someone more celeby?

Former EastEnders actress Brooke Kinsella, whose teenage brother Ben was killed in a knife attack earlier this year, lives with her family near to Mr Rynja.

Yes, we can. And – what ho! – Kinsella was in EastEnders; EastEnders has a paedo plot, Mohammed’s lover was aged nine.

What are the odds..?

Let’s have a heated debate…
