Aaah! Balham .The gateway to the south. The Bedford pub. The Ducane Court apartments where many celebrities have lived over the years. A couple of tube stops from Tooting Broadway where you can find the Castle pub that American actor(legend)John Wayne visted back in the 50s........and Topsham road in Tooting where a youngster called Jimmy White grew up and first picked-up a snooker cue in a local snooker club. Tooting is also the place where an Anorakian entered the world......JB in Brazil. Yes, Hollywood could make an entertaining movie about south London!
