WANNA be depressed. Here goes:
nothing seems out of the ordinary when you first look at Life Clock. upon closer inspection, you may notice the numbers seem a little high. this is because one rotation of this clock is equal to the average human lifespan. the clock is an artwork by bertrand planes which uses an ordinary clock slowed down 61320 times to make each minute equal to a year.

What a very depressing state of mind to create a clock that stops when you get to just over 80! Just imagine - contantly watching the clock of life tick by, and getting to 83 and realising that you gotta go out and get another bloody clock because you outlived the one created in 2008 - what a disaster, all them years thinking that you can sit and watch your life slip by only to realised that you were conned all those years ago - the bloody clock is faulty and you got another few years to go!! What the hell do you do with those extra years that the clock has give to you? Invent a barometer to measure your blood temperature, so that when you do eventually go - at least you will be aware that you are going….Or maybe get hold of an hour glass and do the calculations daily? One dripping grain of sand is a minute of your life. Dont take your eye off it now!! you could miss a grain and go a second or two before you intended to - could even miss the lotto draw when your numbers come up……what a sad mind invented that clock, even in the even sadder name of art
