Daryl Hannah And the PETA Patter Of Tiny Hypocrites
VEGAN actress Daryl Hannah, a supporter of People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, wears suede boots to Richard Branson’s party. How so? Says Hannah:
“They were my mum’s. I only wear leather when it’s a gift.”

Yes Karen…. that is also why they hang cats and dogs slowly before killing them to eat… fear generates tastier meat according to the justifiers.
I’d give ‘em tastier meat, their own!

That is disgusting. They really want them to be in fear???
I wouldn’t wear fur ever (and I never have).

Now - If they skinned Daryl Hannah alive - thats a different matter - I think I could happily wear that ………

Karen
The Chinese fur and skin industry is sickeningly cruel. Richard and Judy actually revealed it for what it was was with a throw made from golden retriever fur - 4 healthy young dogs received a knife wound to the groin, and when they were near death and too weak to struggle were skinned whilst still alive.
Cats are drowned by the use of a hose, and when almost dead are skinned.
The ‘thinking’ is because they are fearful they release hormones which make the fur shine.
There are fur factories in China with the pelts piled high, but they still kill.

Skinned alive!
I don’t know any of this because I sign petitions without reading anything and while trying not to look at the pictures…
I don’t have many leather handbags or shoes - I try to avoid it - but I think the important thing is to campaign for quality of life and quick, humane deaths (for animals not celebrity vegans… although….).
Daryl’s excuse stinks though.

I wear leather too,and for handbags, but my favourite one is from a recycled saddle which I have had for 30 odd years.
I don’t buy any skins from China , Korea and that area as I know the poor animals have been skinned alive.
I do indulge over shoes , but keep them for yonks

Difficult one that for veggies/vegans.
Is it okay to wear leather that is a by-product of the food industry? As a vegetarian
(I’m fighting it, I realy am!)
I know I could never wear fur, snakeskin, crocodile, stingray etc They are al from animals that have ben killed (barbarically) exculsively for fashion but the skins of animals that would be killed anyway? or am I justifying my expensive hand bag fetish?
I never buy cheap leather goods as they have probably come from oxen etc that have been skinned alive after reaching the end of their usefulness, but slaughterhouse skins?
Dilemma…………. I do of course belong to Peta which makes it worse.

Well, I only wear fur which comes from animals someone else has killed…
