Remember that, as of now, not being American is a highly desirable state; our own Prime Minister, announcing the Elderly Grandparent of All Bailouts has stressed:

‘This is not the American plan.’

Iceland has refused to take money from the IMF, despite Bush and Brown trying to persuade them otherwise, and would rather go to Russia for the money.

Brown has learned his lesson, and is cracking on with the new world order:

“We have led the world today with a proposal to restructure our banking system. We are taking the steps that I believe other countries will take in the future.”

I wonder if that includes borrowing from Russia…
