Madeleine McCann: Investigators Wanted, Benchmarks Of Pain And McFly
MADDIE WATCH - Anorak’s at-a-glance guide to press coverage of Madeleine McCann, Kate McCann and Gerry McCann
DAILY MAIL: “£50,000 monthly expenses bill for McCann’s private eyes”
A scoop. It’s months old. But it’s still a scoop, right? Metodo 3 are on the job…
The private investigators hired to find Madeleine McCann were embroiled in fresh controversy last night as it was revealed they claimed nearly £50,000 in expenses for one month’s work.
… expensive
US-based firm Oakley International was taken on by the Find Madeleine Fund earlier this year on a £500,000 six-month contract to monitor a telephone hotline, carry out detective work and review CCTV footage from around the world of possible sightings of the missing girl.
It seems £50,000 a month is the going rate for not finding a missing child. Anorak PI Acme Inc. would do the same job for less, say half…
Says Clarence Mitchell (for hire):
“The search for Madeleine is continuing, however, using other resources and the performance of other contractors is constantly reviewed and monitored. Kate and Gerry and the backers will leave no stone unturned in the search for Madeleine.”
Our card is in the post…
SCOTLAND ON SUNDAY: “The Fighter: Kirsteen Lupton had her first operation the day she was born,” says Peter Ross.
I HAVE interviewed many remarkable people but don’t usually have to wait for them to get home from school. Kirsteen Lupton is the exception, and she is exceptional. She was born with bladder exstrophy, a rare condition in which that organ is on the outside of the body.
Well…
Like many teenagers, though, her loyalties are fickle and she now prefers the Red Hot Chili Peppers. To admit to liking McFly is to risk a slagging.
The bigger picture..
Martin [Kisteen’s dad] later talks about the pressure. “Kirsteen’s care needs were so great that the main theme running through our lives was getting her through her next surgical procedure and trying to retain a semblance of normal family life for our boys. I know it’s not the same, but Madeleine McCann’s parents said that they had to keep going for the sake of their twins, and I know what they mean. You have to maintain what is, perhaps, an artificial façade.”
Madeleine McCann: the benchmark for pain.

Hello - I’ve bin lookin all over south west France and the Pyrenees but I didn’t find anything - well as ‘honest’ and ‘looking’ as hard as the other searchers with ismilar results.
On one of the other sites, rhymes with begone tiles, there is a picture of M with her hair quite oong and done in tiny little plaits, witht he infamous hair bead showing and against a background that looks scrubby as if it might be the #alogarve, wonder if this was taken before the lead photo and when?

Hi jo,
Just popping in to see if there is any news and the Daily Mail report has been overlooked in favour of trotting out old theories which get us nowhere.
Why do you think the Mail has printed this? to draw attention to the absolute waste of
Fund money and in the process showing how incompetent the Directors of NSU have
been, with public donations. To me this is quite significant and maybe the Mail has
decided enough is enough as far as the McCanns are concerned.

WATCHER
well, this is all part of this family’s mystery isn’t it.
if you look at the face, it seems the most mature, also the teeth the most formed.
Anyone seriously asking people to look for their child, would give pictures in chronological order, would make it clear to everyone when each photo was taken etc etc.
there is even a photo of her without the colomba mark, I stored it on my computer, but can’t remember which site I got it from so I can’t post a link, although I could e-mail it. It was one of the early ones and someone pointed out the lack of colomba, so I stored it, because many posts get whoosh cluncked from the internet pretty quickly. - another mystery.

No not him, what Stig said. Now I’m going to read what Priest said.
October 12th, 2008 at 2:21 pm
Yeah! What HE said. And I’ve been studying pictures of Madeleine with particular reference to her straight hair length. In some photos she has hair a good 4″ past her shoulders. Some shorter. Unless we have the photos line up chronologically and carefully dated this tells us nothing.
At the time she went missing, according to the famous “pool” photo and one of her climbing a slide, her hair seems to have been just past shoulder length.
October 12th, 2008 at 2:19 pm
the real stig
but even IF the other things could be explained, you can’t explain the long hair/reason for/timing of the extensions
As you seem so knowledgable about photos, are you able to explain the many anomolies in the playground photo? you know, madeleine’s 2 left feet, lack of right knee, no arm shadow, 7 foot man and the man staring at the camera has his foot in an impossible backward facing position. etc etc. Also the fact there is no Gerry elbow in the picture of maddie put up in the church, which is the same picture of her as in the claimed last photo where gerry’s elbow can be clearly seen very close to her hat (about an eye’s width away to the left.

“In Australia parents can be charged now for leaving children under age alone!”
Australia is run by retards, so that is no surprise.
“Would Madeleine have had hair that long! She does look like she has lipstick on, and some rouge, or does/did she have naturally rosy cheeks.”
She does not look like she has lipstick on. What you are seeing is the inside of her lower lip - tissue which is mucous membrane and which is normally on the inside of the body and which is ‘normally’ reddish in appearance. There is no trace of enhanced colouring (lipstick) on the outer portions of her upper or lower lip - where you would normally find the stuff.
Most people know bugger all about photography, digital or otherwise. When you load film on to a computer from a digital camera or scan it in from film, the colours are rarely ‘right’. In my experience they almost always have to have the colour balance (levels) corrected. Most people don’t know how to do this so just take what they get. Some people, like editors, touch up photos to look ‘right’ on their monitors. They might well have expensive well calibrated equipment but how many people have colour calibrated their laptops or home PCs? Even if they have, the images they see on the Web will probably not look exactly as they do on an expensive monitor.
People ‘have’ been mucking about with some of the Madeleine photos you find on the Web.
Here is a composite image I created of four images I found:
http://img511.imageshack.us/img511/382/mmoneandtwovh5.jpg
I have not fiddled with anything except their size. The colour is as I found it.
Don’t believe everything you see and and don’t go seeing lipstick where it isn’t. Rosy celtic skinned cheeks are not uncommon anyway, but that photo is a mess colour wise.
And Lynn. You forgot to mention the obvious ’sad’ expression people keep going on about - you know - the expression that indicates ’something is not quite right.’

Sadly, the news isn’t just the bits you find interesting; as long as there is news people need to cover it.
And pointing out that the way news has been reported has had an extraordinary effect on our culture is well worth doing; the ongoing process of dumbing down where the broadsheets are little or no better than the tabloids has consequences far beyond the reporting of the McCann story…

Is that the picture of Madeleine that people were talking about? Saying she had crimped hair and extensions and make up on. Bollocks! Healthy face, no make up, and she just had her wet hair plaited and it dried and got combed out. Trust me I know these things. I have three daughters.
———————————————————————————————————-
It’s certainly one of the odd ones we were talking about, but not one of those with obvious make up and suggestive poses.
This picture is, apparently, one of the 4 pics that were given to the police on the day of the disaster. It is believed to have been taken inside the holiday appartment. So, how come her hair is suddenly so long, or, alternatively, why has she got hair extensions? When were they added, why has noone ever mentioned them? You see, nothing in this story appears to make sense, and everything needs more questions answered. It has been very widely reported and never refuted, that Kate refused to answer those 48 (or whatever the number was) questions……
October 12th, 2008 at 1:35 pm
Okay Anorak, you have proved your point.. the media drags the backside out of stories. You kind of proved that a year ago so I don’t see now why you keep on with making Madeleine comparisons almost daily? Is it just because it is popular?
.. in which case you’re as bad as the media you make fun of. Poor girl - leave it alone.

I just tried to post something but it hasn’t appeared…. ooh, er! Oh well, going out for a while now. Perhaps it will be here when I get back.
October 12th, 2008 at 10:14 am
I’m still bewildered as to why, if a woman whose young sons died in a fire while she was in the house is being accused of neglect, and Fiona McKeown, whose teenage daughter was killed in Goa, has been summoned for questioning about neglect, a couple who left a three year old and two two year olds alone at night in an unlocked apartment aren’t being accused of neglect. Maybe it’s because the fates of the other children are known, and Madeleine’s isn’t, yet. Perhaps action will be taken against the McCanns when it is?
