How much?
Friends of Madeleine McCann’s parents are expected to accept libel damages of £375,000 today.
Express Newspapers has previously paid damages of £550,000 to Mr and Mrs McCann, from Rothley, Leicestershire. The group and other newspapers also paid more than £600,000 to Robert Murat, a former official suspect, and two other people.

Actually - I am with the dogs on this one.
And Amaral is not a ‘toss pot’ - he is a senior officer with 28 years experience of investigations under his belt. And he was in charge of the investigation - So I defer to his knowledge.
There’s evidence of a cadaver and a very confused timeline of events - not to mention a lack of damaged shutters - however I have no evidence to suggest that there may have been the remotest possibility of an abduction.
When there is evidence of an abductor - I will rest my Alien abduction theory - but until then …… Tell us all why you are happy not to continue the investigation and eliminate certain people from certain suspicions.
Would you not wish to know where the bones of your own child were lying - or which particular paedophile group has snatched this child and was still doing heinous things with it?
