We also suggested that the McCanns’ friends had been identified as potential suspects.

We now accept that these suggestions should never have been made and were completely untrue.

How much?
Friends of Madeleine McCann’s parents are expected to accept libel damages of £375,000 today.
Express Newspapers has previously paid damages of £550,000 to Mr and Mrs McCann, from Rothley, Leicestershire. The group and other newspapers also paid more than £600,000 to Robert Murat, a former official suspect, and two other people.
Anorak broke that story. And what of the “other newspapers”, like the Times’ sister organs, the Sun and the News of the World. Why not mention them by name?

Even you must be fed up with the McCanns getting money , not to employ Agencies
with REAL experience in finding missing children, but to waste on these Cowboy
outfits. The Fund has received donations and sold Merchandise and earned about
£2,500,000.00 and it has been completely wasted. They bleated about the lack of
effort by the PJ, demanded to have the files and it rebounded on them because there
is all the proof that the PJ followed up all the sightings, through Interpol or the
Country involved as is the correct procedure.

Where did you read/see that the McCanns are going to sue more papers? If they do,
I can see a terrible backlash, from the Public as well as the Press. In Fact, I hope
they sue 24 Horas and Correio where most of the DE info came from. They will be
more of a match than the U.K. Press because the onus is on the Plaintiff in these
Countries.

My mother, who was around at that time, thought it was terrible that he wasn’t voted in. But people were sick of war and going without and wanted a change. However, not the point. My point is just this:- there are chiefs and there are indians. The McCanns, by virtue of their professional positions, are chiefs, used to telling indians what to do. And that’s what they did.

I”m not sure what you are trying to say. Churchill was a great leader because of his Wartime Speeches, his Military in the Planning Room gave him daily reports, but
I donT think he was personally involved in what action should be taken. He was more
interested in plotting ways of getting America involved in the War and suspicious of
the Russians.
I often wondered why he wasn”t voted in after the War because he was inspirational
as an Orator and proved his leadership.

No I wasn’t “on a ride”. I really think the negativity has been detrimental and demoralising to the McCanns and they have had to keep going in spite of it. I think everybody’s efforts and intellect should have been focussed on finding this little girl, whatever happened to her and whoever did it. The sheer force of negativity has been unhelpful and unchristian.

There is no evidence, the dogs are barking up a gum tree, that about sums it up, except for the paper clip counters ramble was binned and the woofers “alertings” were deemed “non alerts” by the forensics, justice for Madeleine, may the guilty face the consequences.

are you saying had less people been so negative it would’ve increased the chances of madeleine being found ? just how ? more false positive sightings perhaps ?
re the constant allegations that they’ve had to keep on defending themselves against, to my knowledge none of the tapas seven have made any public statements, either way, so i’m not sure what you mean with that, actually i think you was onna ride and just pulled that out of thin air.
