It’s probably because they are beginning to twig that the acceptable face of losing money- lending to all those poor people so they could buy their homes- has got very little to do with just how far the rot has set in. Try this for size from Citigroup:
‘$792 million write-down on “highly leveraged finance commitments.”’
I think we can be quietly confident that this had bugger all to do with letting Nanny buy the old homestead…

The shock on the guy’s face must be how the politicians are feeling right now - they keep throwing endless amounts of money at the shaky water system but all that green gunge keeps spilling out the end of the pipe.

I’m baffled by the picture AND the reference to Atari ST.
And if I were slightly more technologically competent then I would be able to do bold instead of putting it in caps…

That picture reminds me of some old game for the Atari ST, about making pipes for water to go through. Pipemania I think it was called.
