The Times-Picayune Is The Toughest Newspaper In The World

by | 28th, October 2008

IN the pages of The Times-Picayune news is that Chris Rose has been arrested in an alleged domestic violence incident.

The story is penned by Brendan McCarthy, Rose’s colleague on the paper. The story appears on the paper’s website and is open to comments.

Readers may draw parallels with the treatment given out to Kay Burley, the Sky news anchor, when she attended a court eharing for her friend Naomi Campbell.

While the Mail screamed:

“Pictured: The incredible moment Sky TV presenter Kay Burley grabbed a rival by the throat and pinned her to a wall”

the Sun, which like Sky is owned by Rupert Murdoch, offered a picture of a bruised Burley and the headline

TV Kay’s cheek bashed in fracas”.

Comments are open there too, and they go like this:

  • i like kay burley,a nice gentle female you know you could trust:) hope the injuries heal quickly – Phil1970
  • Sky news does not need to get envolved with such a nasty self centred excuse for a human being, see she has started telling woopers again this morning, get lost Campbell your not up to decent standards. – greenmachine
  • you know what, kay with her face swollen up still looks better than that naomi,in fact the only thing nice about naomi,is her name, end of. – dereklister

Says Rose in his organ:

“Between my bloody lip and receiving a municipal summons, I guess I have learned my lesson. I take full responsibility for my actions and will accept whatever consequences come my way as a result.”

Say the We Da Peeple…

  • Guess he will have to add himself to the A#$ Hol# Monologues show. I thought he was married and had kids? – Ashton
  • Headline should read “Drunk Starker gets a$$ kicked” – nola4u
  • Rose’s judgment in dealing with his former girlfriend is consistent with his judgment in his slanted articles – alafbi

Keep those comments coming…
