Madeleine McCann: Here’s A Question For You
MADDIE WATCH - Anorak’s at-a-glance guide to press coverage of Madeleine McCann, Kate McCann and Gerry McCann
SUNDAY HERALD: “KATE AND GERRY McCANN, BY IAN BELL”
OF ALL the questions asked of Kate and Gerry McCann, official and unofficial, wise or wantonly cruel, since the disappearance of their four-year-old daughter, one is never likely to be answered.
Is it, what happened to Madeleine McCann?
It is not one of the obvious questions.
So not one of the 100 Questions… Is it, what didn’t happen to Madeleine McCann?
It features in none of the many inquiries, spurious or otherwise, made by journalism and the law. It has nothing to do with the how, what, when or why. It is more baffling even than these mysteries.
Is it, what would Madeleine McCann do if she were manager of Spurs?
Better for an atheist to ask, perhaps, than anyone: how have this plainly devout couple managed to retain their faith?
No-one has asked that question? Never? Sure? “Why has God allowed this to happen? Ask parents of Madeleine McCann” – Joanna Sugden, Aug 13, 2007, The Times
But let’s not ask the questions; let’s let Ian Bell asks the questions:
If God was around when Madeleine was taken, most would question his motives. If a Christian spirit animated any of the hundreds of media who reported and commented upon the case, how was it manifested?
That’s an ecumenical matter…
The fact remains that there is only one fact: the child is missing still.
Yes. One fact. There was only ever one fact.
Still there are those who will tell you that Kate McCann is no sort of mother, that there is something “not right” about Gerry McCann’s stoicism. The need to believe that the child will be found was long ago replaced, in some parts of God’s creation, by the need to believe the worst of her parents.
Yeah, those. Not like Ian Bell who merely repeats what those are saying.
A paradox is created. Now we talk about the fact that some people go on talking when there is nothing to talk about.
Go on, Mr Bell. Do go on…
Why does the McCann case still return to the headlines?
Because you wrote a story about it and the subs rejected the chance to title it “Musings Of A Sandboy”…
Somehow, the McCanns represent the perfect moral storm. If you trust what you believe, some people will never believe them, even if the truth is beyond doubt or question.
What’s it got to do with Donald Rumsfeld, Ian?
And does anyone think they don’t already know that?
Hard to know…

“What really happened to Madeleine McCann?” is currently being translated into Spanish and Dutch and then German, due to popular demand

WOTCHA can take the floor now and tell us about ‘Admin People’ again - or whatever other crap she usually comes out with.
If I was WOTCHA I would use me as an excuse to pretend I had boycotted the site! Hrrrrrrmmphhh! lol
I was utterly fuckin’ gutted yesterday to find that WOTCHA and the Stinky Man or somebody had crossed swords - but was so thrilled and happy that they worked it out again!
I love a happy ending ….. la la la ….. la la la la

AGW says …….. ‘Discovery always heightens the olfactory element…but a dead rat! That’s the worst smell of all.’
……………………………………………………………
CLARRISSE - Seee what I mean! He’s all male and approximately 25 years old with a knowledge that he should not have at such a tender age!
AGW - Oi should ‘ave made myself clearer - and bow to thee on this.
However - my inference that the rat is already dead and lying in the sh*t with the rest of them lol.
la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la ………..

CLARRISSEE - Hi!
Clarrisse says - ‘COCO,thank you for the “clarrification” over the Wierd Ones etc….it looks like you are missing some of your “cyber friends”…who is -agw?’
…………………………………………………………………………………..
Hi Clarrrisse - I love your ‘clarrrification’ expression - it is little-used these days since he stopped his vocal tributes to the Clannies! lol
AGW is just a sex-God who wanders in from time to time to quicken our pulses and set our hormones racing.
I have toyed with the idea of having sex with him many a time - but I would rather just keep him as a fantasy figure for now.
I think that the Weirdy Ones would all like to have sex with me to be honest! lol.
I can tell by the way they pretend to dislike me so much. It is usually a sign of their hero-worship - or their outright sexual desire for me that makes them behave in such a horrid way on here!
I suspect that they are strange in Real Life as well to be honest! lol
I have no doubt that they fantasise about me when they are alone! In fact I bet they are doing that right now! Fantasising about naked romps in the frosty fields with me! lol

I think you are missing an essential point Coco.
Rats do not become offensive or even unbearably smelly until discovery.
In most communities you are never further than 10 meters from a rat. They blend in and remain creatures of the night. They hide well and are unobtrusive. The clever ones never nibble too much but always get the tastiest morsels and mark the trails for others of their breed. Rat runs are everywhere.
The most dangerous are the females, they will eat their young to avoid discovery and will always run rather than fight. When trapped they will bite through limbs to escape and when cornered they show a remarkable human tendency to fight and and eventually an even more remarkable similar trait to humans…an acceptance the game is up.
Discovery always heightens the olfactory element…but a dead rat! That’s the worst smell of all.
Tame rats? Well they’re rather nice, in a rodent sort of way, but I don’t think I could keep one….

Kittens! You will never know me to have a rant ….. I just make gentle noises on here! - And only to those who twitter and titter daft things to me and other feeble-minded folk on here.
My therapist says I have the right to express myself and that I am worthy and deserving …..
SO THERE - WOTCHA! Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaagggggggghhhhhhhhh!
That was just me doing a bit of self-harm ………
Aaaaaaaaaaaggggggghhhhhhhhhh! And again! Aaaaaaagggggghhhh! lol

Because many human-beings still use their sixth sense - they are able to discern fact from fiction. Some people have markedly greater instincts and concerns for human-beings than others.
It does not mean that those without this instinct are stupid or naive - just that they simply do not have the ability or sense to dispute what is presented to them as facts.
Many Court Judges have this problem too! It has nothing to do with education or intelligence.
When millions of human-beings are given information and the majority of them feel that that there is something wrong - there is usually/always something wrong!
At the end of the day - when an Emperor is told he has new clothes on - but nobody disputes the fact that he is naked - nor for that matter are they even allowed to discuss the fact that he is naked - some human-beings smell a rat and want to know the ins and outs of a duck’s arse!
I am one of those people - as are many of the posters to this Anorak thread.
When people have come under suspicion by whomever and for whatever reasons and then been proven to have dissembled, prevaricated or maybe even simply just changed their statements of facts - the rat becomes unbearably smelly - and must be carefully removed from the detritis that has become embedded in the evidences of the case.
Therefore - some human-beings will inevitably have to be the persons that try to find the smelly rat and remove it.
I am just one of those people. There are millions more like me.
And there are also a couple of dogs called Eddie and Keela who were up until this case quite infallible! Woof! Woof! Grrrr!
Surely - the UK police should be trying to find out what happened to this British Subject. Or - was she not a British Subject and the responsibility lies with another country’s judiciary?

Hey Pamela we can bitch about the English before they wake up. I think Prince Edward’s a goose. There, it’s out. Great to finally have that off my chest.
