I think Sachs didn’t answer because there was a mix up with his phones.. or he forgot… he certainly hadn’t withdrawn from the programme and was ready to do another interview (that was meant to contain a plug for a documentary he was in).

And if you listen to the phone calls then you’ll hear Ross teasing Russell about his relationship with a granddaughter (although it’s not clear how truthful it is - even the press weren’t sure until Georgina confirmed it), Russell being mock-embarrassed and then when they can’t get through to Sachs them making an escalating joke out of how awful the messages they’ve left on the answer-phone are - which obviously inspired the Daily Mail hacks to phone Sachs and try and push him into denouncing Brand and Ross & even prosecuting them… which didn’t work… but after pushing for about a week they did manage to get public outrage going…

But it’ll all fade away.
Nine day wonder and all that.
Ross will go back to the Beeb and continue to earn a fortune (palpitations are already happening after the checking of Friday night, Saturday morning viewing/listening figures). Brand will continue to shock on commercial channels and make films in the US.

Life goes on and meanwhile, holding the fort for them in style is Jeremy Clarkson!! Bless.

I thought comedians were meant to do comedy, not sex scandals.

But AS wasn’t on the show, had he been he could have refused to answer, and maybe thats why he wasn’t on the show - he didn’t find it funny? just smutty?

That’s nothing - pictures from a porn film she made are going round the internet… They might turn up on Channel 5…

She gave an interview about about her sex life - and she claims the details are real… and they involve her Granddad - the one that’s so upset about hearing Brand joke about sleeping with her… If I was outraged about my Grandpa being exposed to filth in front of the nation - I don’t think I’d expose him to more of it…

And it’s true that Sachs was meant to be on the show - so he didn’t mind talking to a comedian that’s famous for sleeping around and making ball bag jokes… what if they’d said the same kind of stuff while Sachs was on the phone or in the studio? The Daily Mail would’ve been hard pressed to make it a scandal… but now they’ve managed to cause this massive over-reaction every other comedian is going to be scrutinised & censored.

Rossy told Brandy to apologise and drop it - throughout Brand’s constant twitterings. When Brandy is on one - it’s spontaneous and he can’t help it.

They are both grown men on a grown-up show behaving like naughty boys and talking about a naughty girl. What is wrong with that?

If Georgina had thought about her Grandad before she took to having sex with Brand - a notorious sex addict who regularly talks about his sexploits - then none of this would have happened for us to talk about.

I would have thought that any Grandpa who accepted his grand-child calling her pop-group such an emotive name would be expecting her to get royally rogered by cads like Brandy!

And if she was out to shock - then she has certainly caused shock.

Sachs should have used this publicity to revive his ex-career and got off his arse and took the piss out of the whole situation and made a butty whilst looking trendy!

Tom Baker is a prime example of older people taking the piss out of themselves and the beautiful women like Honor Blackman or Sylvia Sims in Absolutely Fabulous are marvellous!

Manuel was my most disliked character in Fawlty Towers - because I felt that he tried to upstage Cleese and Boothe regularly!

And that is precisely what he is doing now with Brandy and Rossy.

The Duke of Edinburgh would not have dignified this with a response - so why does Sachs?

THEN complains also that her ‘good reputation’ had been ruined for life. That her life had been ruined..

She brought it on herself for getting with an idiot. Not to mention this would not ruin her life. Quite the opposite. Because WHAT? reputation??
No one even knew who she was until a couple of days ago.

Sachs was meant to answer the phone call and do an interview with Brand & if his agent is any good he should have been aware that Brand is famous for his sexually explicit comedy.

And isn’t it embarrassing for her granddad to find out that Brand did Manuel impressions when he and Georgina were sleeping together? I’d say that made her a hypocrite….

you seem to be blaming the wrong people, neither of them are Brands parents - he is meant to be a responsible adult

I would defend her somewhat on the charge of hypocrisy though. I don’t think she’s actually claimed to be the sweet and virginal miss that some people seem to be angry to find she isn’t. Certainly she’s been publicly angry over the “joke” but then perhaps she doesn’t equate her activities, which appear to involve only consenting adults, with a fairly offensive prank played on her grandfather, who never invited the phone call and had his wishes that it not be broadcast disregarded? (and I would agree with her)

I think it’s more the fact that she’s a hypocrite that’s the problem… she’s pretty sanctimonious for someone in a group called ‘Satanic Sluts Extreme’…

So if you’re upset about it, blame Russell and Jonathan themselves, blame the Daily Mail, blame the public, blame the BBC. But don’t blame Georgina. She may have exploited the situation, but she didn’t cause their downfall.

She should give the money she has made in the last week to charity then disappear. Most people in this country are not interested in you and your sordid life style.
