Madeleine McCann: Adopted by Angelina Jolie, And The Changeling
MADDIE WATCH - Anorak’s at-a-glance guide to press coverage of Madeleine McCann, Kate McCann and Gerry McCann
DAILY MAIL: “A mother leaves her child while she goes out - and returns to an empty house. No, not the McCann case but the true story behind a gripping new film”
Fact. Fiction. Can you spot the difference?
She was a devoted mother, hard-working, determined and tough. Then, one spring morning, Christine Collins kissed her little child goodbye (leaving him under the eye of neighbours), before returning in the evening to an empty house. Her beloved son had vanished without a trace.
A continent-wide hunt was launched and a shocked nation was kept agog by a string of leads - only for their hopes to be cruelly dashed as each clue led to a dead end.
The child was never seen again, the mother was heartbroken and the community was left divided by suspicion and mistrust.
Terrible. Just terrible. Does it work out in the end?
It could be the tragic story of Kate and Gerry McCann and their three-year-old daughter, Madeleine, who was abducted last year while on holiday in Portugal, and who remains missing to this day.
It could be, albeit with better lighting, a decent cast and a 15 certificate… Gone, Baby, Gone…
But, in fact, it is the plot of Clint Eastwood’s latest film, Changeling, which opens in Britain later this month.
But it’s all false, right? Angelina Jolie is only acting, right? Unless she adopted Madeleine?
It is all the more powerful because it is based on a horrific true story. The so-called ‘Wineville chicken coop murders’ took place on the outskirts of Los Angeles in 1928.
And while they happened 80 years before Maddie McCann disappeared, there are startling parallels between the two.
The McCanns’ grim experience in Praia de Luz - and how they were made suspects by bungling local police - was widely reported.
But Christine Collins suffered even worse treatment at the hands of the LA Police Department. As the investigation into her missing child failed to yield results, she was even locked up in a mental asylum.
It’s enough to drive you maaaaad. Maaaaad, I tell yer…
As in the McCann case, rumour followed rumour.
Each one recorded for posterity…

Nice one Gandolf.
Maybe some of the die hards should take special note of this particular paragraph.
On the other hand, it should be referred that this investigation moved itself under conditions of exceptional media exposure, with the publication of many “news” of imprecise, inexact or even false contents, which did not help, in the least, the discovery of the truth and created, many times, a climate of unusual commotion and of lack of serenity.

Concerning the result of the diligences that were requested from the British authorities, as earlier mentioned, despite the fact that they were almost completely carried out, nothing new was added to the process and, consequentially, to the investigation.
The questioning of the holiday group merely corroborated what had already been established during the investigation, without any detail that could have been reputed as especially relevant being brought forward.
In conclusion, it results from everything that has been done, despite the efforts that were made and all investigation lines being explored, that it is not possible to obtain a solid and objective conclusion about what really happened that night, and about the present location of the missing minor.
Therefore, as we do not envision, at the present moment, the execution of any other diligence within the process that might produce any useful result for the process, I submit it to your consideration, for you to determine whatever you may see as convenient.

Montaillou
And don’t be misled into thinking that 3º masonry is all there is. At that level it is just a dining club, as they always urge.
There are 33 degrees, which you enter as you are tried and tested for your ability to conform to the Masonic code.
Royal Arch, Mark, Chapter, Rouge Pelican and so on.
(And my headless corpse will probably be found hanging from Westminster Bridge tomorrow)

I’m off to join the masons and learn all about their distress signals, seems to come in pretty handy. That and heavy hints with flip charts, my flip chart techniques are quite good, I just need to learn the most useful diagrams and phrases.

Steph, dogs in general may have a significant failure rate but these particular dogs have never been wrong except allegedly in this one particular case. Just seems funny that’s all, particularly when you see the emphasis with which they marked the areas/items.

Hello, some people are very correct in what they say, here in Germany two universiities carried out canine tests, the cadaver canines were far from infalible.
November 10th, 2008 at 10:11 am
She also allegedly took cuddles the cat into work and presumably propped it on top of a cadaver while working.
Still believe her now? Or her spokespeople?
What about the unattributed quotes from the Health centre that they never had a dead body in there for months, what with it being a normal local GP’s surgery? That was in the Mirror at the time and not much else made of it.
Still the Cuddles the cat one is interesting. She took Madeline’s favourite toy into work is incredibly, well, incredible, no? Then there is the fact that allegedly Cuddles the cat was put on a high shelf “proving” the abduction, when phots clearly show no shelf anywhere near Madeline’s bed, or at all.
And why wash cuddles the cat and then place stories that she did so because it was “covered in suntan lotion and all icky” and despite that one month later cadaver scent is found on it?
Cadaver scent in the apartment, the only one to have such in there out of several? Cadaverine scent on their hire car, out of 10 cars parked alongside each other?
Maybe Kate took those into work as well?
LOL, with those excuses, they dug themselves a proper hole, and then… I’ll leave the rest of that gag.

Thanks Brandon- just wondered if there were any other missing children
in England we hadn’t heard about !
November 10th, 2008 at 9:59 am
Clive you’re right about clothes and bodies. Although diehards on here say that she personally never claimed that, just her spokes people
Was she still on maternity leave or doing just 1 day a week?
November 10th, 2008 at 9:42 am
I have seen a couple of comments that K McCann was off work before the ill fated holiday.
I have also read her reason for the dogs being attracted to her clothing as she
had been in contact with bodies prior to the holiday.
Am I wrong ?

“Freemasons EDIT tap into Google, you are in for a HUGE shock as to how open and above board they are”
But only about those things they want you to know. Try finding the true name of the Great Architect of the Universe, or what Rouge Pelicans get up to.

^However, there is much forensic and circumstantial evidence ^
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
I do trust that when the barmy brigade/lynch mob arrive, mods may make the novel move of asking for confirming official statements of ! much forensic and circumstantial evidence !
We are all aware apart from the barmy brigade the official statement tends to contradict TB’s and their jaundiced views…….TTFN…..
November 10th, 2008 at 6:11 am
^There is no evidence that Madeleine McCann was abducted. However, there is much forensic and circumstantial evidence that she died in Apartment 5A in Praia da Luz, the McCanns’ apartment, and that her parents, possibly with help from some of their friends, hid or disposed of her body.^

Guess what famous(?) solicitor has penned the above, ^possibily^ come along now TB, did they or didn’t they, have a bit of backbone man give Carter your gettin Fuked something to get their fiscal claws into, the 3arses lose xclamation and get TB in return, I kid you not……….

Many, many years ago my mother was called to jury service - the case was of child abduction (which lead to murder) BUT all that time ago - maybe 45 years ago - the police were efficient and quick to find the culprit - too late, unfortunately for the little girl in question, as she was found dead - but she was found - and quite quickly. The convicted died in jail (justice??). Surely - nearly 50 years on and with the advanced technology, it really is incredible that there have been no definate leads in this case. Maybe everything is getting far too complicated, and the old methods of policing were actually better than today. I really am at a loss to comprehend why someone somewhere - with all the rewards on offer - has not come foreward with information. Somebody, somewhere knows exactly what has happened to Madeleine. Maybe if the fund offered a reward to anyone who could point them in the right direction, they may be fortunate enough to be able to crack someone if the stakes are high enough.

Lie, no, be wrong, yes:
“there is a shocking shortage of reliable empirical research on the accuracy of detection dogs. The only substantial body of research was conducted in Australia. The Privacy Ombudsman of New South Wales reported its review on the use of drug-detection dogs to parliament in 2006. His research revealed that 74% of those searched following an indication by a dog were found not to be in possession of illegal drugs. This statistic adds weight to Justice Souter’s statement that the “infallible dog” is a “legal fiction”.”
