Media Scare Stories: Ambidextrous Onanism And Cot Death
MEDIA Scare Stories: on the one hand, dead babies; on the other hand, dead babies…
The proportion of infants arriving at school not knowing whether they are right or left-handed has trebled in the past decade, researchers say. The situation has been made worse by excessive parental fears, driven by cot death, about letting them lie or crawl on their front - Daiy Telegraph
This one from the Tabloid Times got the lot: bad science; anxious parents; dead babies; and stupidity
Fingers crossed (get a friend to help) the little loves survive and thanks to Play Station and porn work out which hand is best…

i must say though it’s an absolutely fantastic theory which i’d never have thought of myself, parents fear of cot death leads them to not allowing their kids to sleep on their front, leads to bumshuffling, leads to not using arms ‘properly’ leads to left right confusion, leads to indelible behavioural problems in adolescence. all that’s missing is the logical conclusion that this is the cause of increasing knife crimes in todays yoofs –they’re practising handedness, obviously.

did you bumshuffle as well instead of crawl ? did it lead to ‘ “indelible” behavioural problems in adolescence.” ?
(and just what are indelible behavioural problems ?)

Left handedness is the new autism. I would give my right arm to be left handed
