I have given my ideas in the MM threads already, but happy to post them here too. Most of them repeat what other posters have been saying already, though.

Single space between the lines please.
Preferably shorter lines too; easier to read.
Re-install “recent post/comment” section
Get rid of the “catch-a-fly” window. It look high-tech, but it’s really a nuisance.
If numbering of posts could be back, that would be nice. But we’ve been living without for such a long time now that it’s not a big thing [for me].

And please prevent complete threads going into oblivion

Hate click click clicking, do something about that please. Ebay is very clicky and gives me the shits, make it easy peasy for the punters to receive gratification.

I empathise! With your wife, that is. I too was married to a materials scientist, or metallurgist as we scientifically challenged mortals called them, and I too enquired what he had done at work. This possibly explains why the marriage had the life expectancy of a brain-damaged gnat. Marry at 21, repent very hastily…

But I have to confess that I like people explaining things.

Unfortunately i have to do to much clicking with this new format, have you considered the repetitive strain caused by your new format? and and well i can’t think another excuse as to why i prefered the scrolling process. I am simple customer with simple tastes.

PJ - We thought of that, too. On the homepage - you see “latest stories”. All the days stories are there - click “more” and get more. It needs refining but it’s pretyt much the same as the old site, if you prefer to read it thus…
