I think these monsters who murdered poor baby P should be slowly tortured!!!! I also believe the story of baby p should be in the papers daily to remind people what could be happening on your street or round the corner this little boy should never be forgotten, what an Angel. If people stopped burying their heads in the sand and pretending it doesnt happen we could make a change. As for the people who should have been protecting him they should resign in disgrace they have proved they cannot do the job they are paid a great deal to do.
I know the monsters that did this will get a jail sentence oh well i hear its quite cushy in prison these days makes me ashamed to be British I have no respect for this country whatsoever we are a load of wimps we will follow American troops into the firing line and good honest women and men will be killed but we wont bring back the death penalty like America for sick murderes typical of us Brits isnt it and we pay for these sickos to be in prison hmmm I say bring back the death penalty!!!!!!

Apologies if this has been mentioned, apparently their identities are being witheld(badly)because there is outstanding charges against them in other cases, revealing their names would obviously harm their prospects of a fair trial. Tis but a rumour, but if true it’s a good reason to stop ‘outing’ them

so do people just produce children to abuse them? or is childcare too much for them,and some children do look as though their parents don’t give a damn, and its all just too much.

C&C do you know if the abuse cases are from young single mothers, or seemingly ‘middleclass’ parents or is there no set pattern, and the mindset for neglect and abuse is programmed into the person before parenthood?

Ignoring the hysteria rousing factor from the Sun, this story has been given extra legs because of the anonymity given to two of those involved.
It is very strange because all their information, names, addresses etc plus photographs are available on the internet. I’ve seen it all and I’m sure millions of others have.
Yes it happens all the time unfortunately but this one ticks all the boxes as far as the Great British press is concerned.

The 3 murderers are not even being charged of 1st degree of murder, just ‘allowing and causing’ death of the toddler.

Old system, old people and repeating same old failures.

There wont be any justice to baby P!! All the people involved including those high rank people in both the council and government will just push blames on each other until the news die down. Or just blame the system and the procedures. The people who really should be sacked or being punished will still sitting in their high rank job and drinking tea in Ritz.

And another poor little soul will fall into this tragedy all over again.

Well, the Select Committee is asking for written submissions on the media’s ability to regulate itself by January 14th; perhaps we could suggest that they consider the coverage of Baby P in the light of what we know about the behaviour of sadistic paedophiles.

I suspect that the Sun et al will try and keep the story running until the sentencing in December …

Anorak, I think you are being too charitable to the Sun; it is well documented that sadistic paedophiles derive sexual pleasure from reading about injuries inflicted on children.

You wrote about Roger Took, imprisoned for paedophile offences earlier this year, who belonged to web chat rooms in which he and others claimed to have been part of a group which injured, raped and murdered a five year old child. Took insisted that these were fantasies; as Charlotte Metcalf writing in the Spectator commented:

‘Fantasy it could be, but the fact so many like-minded men laughed and masturbated over a helpless child’s torture, terror and death is chilling and profoundly disturbing’.

The Sun’s sales are being swelled by people like Took…

Have to say I agree with Anorak on this one fact is grief junkies like jeanette fuel this mass hysteria which in turn helps to ofuscate the pertinant points.. There was a faliure in Haringeys duty of care both to baby p and to the case workers who dealt with his case. The criminal side of the matter is being dealt with fact is there will always be horrible wicked evil people that is why we have childrens services and socill workers. My view is the same as I have of the police “I am so convinced of the importance of your job that I give you the right to deny me my freedom/ remove my children if you see fit to do so the only thing I insist on is that you are F***ing brilliant at your job and if you are not then f**K off and sweep the streets. “Enough of this morbid eulogioseing of this poor child that none of us knew rather take the oportunity to make real lasting changes…
