World Pie-Eating Champion Crowned
FRED Wyatt, 61, called into his local for a pint and was persuaded to make up the numbers in the the 14th World Pie Eating Championships held at a Wigan pub
He was crowned champion after eating a meat and potato pie in 56.28 seconds - admittedly a lot slower than last year’s world record.
As the Manchester Evening News is quick to point out the 10 World Record bidding pie-eaters who took part came in from as far away as almost two local bus rides…
