Ricky Hatton vs Manny Pacquiao, Almost Ready To Rumble
Ricky Hatton vs Manny Pacquiao: it’s the super fight every boxing fan wants to see. The good news is, it’s close to being made.
Richard Schaefer, the boss of Oscar de la Hoya’s Golden Boy Promotions, claims negotitations between the two parties are going well:
“I’m encouraged by the way it’s going, and I’m talking to the Hattons again,” Schaefer said.
“You really have two of the most popular fighters of their generation fighting each other, and that’s the kind of fight we want to make.”
The only sticking point is over the locaction of the bout. Neither Pacquiao nor Hatton fear the prospect of fighting in the other’s back yard, but Hatton would prefer to fight in his home town of Manchester. All of which means the showdown will probably take place in Las Vegas, on 2 May 2009.
Who’s going to win? If Hatton stays off the Guinness over Christmas - a big if - then he can take Pacquiao all the way. But I’d still pick Manny on points.

WHAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! pauli mallinaggi not excactly slow,if hatton had a weakness its when he fights southpaw’s,they always find a home for the right hook, pac mans southpaw and he’s the faster man so ur rite ther that on paper hatton is def the under dog,but hatton comes to fight and throws plenty of punches and his relentless come forward style will cause more problems than pac mans last two opponents,prediction…..ricky hatton win 10 round stoppage!!!! COME ON RICKY!!!!!

Hattan vs. Pacquio?
Now this will be a real fight, maybe even one of the best ever!!
Hatton has truly learned alot since being k-o’d by Merriweather. However, Hattan’s inherent weakness is when he faces a fast opponent which Pacquio is by any measurement. So? My prediction?
Pacquio by either a decdion or a k-o!
