THE SUN: “Bishop raps ‘ruthless’ bankers”

THE Archbishop of York slammed bankers in his Christmas Day sermon for pursuing “ruthless gain”.

Dr John Sentamu warned banks against “exploitative lending” and urged them not to “enrich themselves at poor neighbours’ expense”.

The spirit of united grief and depravation in the face of a common enemy. It’s all those Germans and their kredit krunch.

But what about the real message. Here it comes:

He highlighted the suffering of missing Madeleine McCann’s parents, Iraq suicide bomb victims and Zimbabweans under tyrant Robert Mugabe.

Because in this celebrity age, a grandstanding cleric can equate a missing child to starving millions and mass murder…

Madeleine looked a lot like her mother. I observed it on the video.

Sometimes you hear good news at the strangest times, I have heard from a source very close to certain doctors that the 3arses is in for a terminal shock, at a time chosen by the certain doctors. Me, I would string the windylickin fukwits at 3arses up by the bollox and then some……………….

I think whatever people feel say or think about the parents, MM herself cannot be misrepresented by thought word or deed, and anyone who cashes in on her does so at their peril.
There have been some sick jokes at her expense, I recall deleting several, and blocking the poster (not regulars , just one offs)

4 extra dogs ( boarding) and some cats to go out to. One of the dogs is post operative , bramble on stop at back of wrist, op on 23/12, client did not supply buster collar and removed the dressing , dog arrived here 25/12 at 5.00 vets the following morning seriously ill, improving now though - a lovely young yellow lab and when the owners return well ouch! The others are a black lab and two very noisy bossy Yorkies.

Yes, I know. Libel laws I guess [like C&C said].But they are adults who can defend themselves [or pay lawyers to do the job]. Why did he repeat what that Spanish wannabee wrote/said about MM?

Still recovering from Christmas, 10 adults, 8 children and 3 extra dogs at our place was….. let’s say “fun”

Hope everyone had a good Chrsitmas with everything they desired either materially or spiritually! What I want now is a few days completely alone with a couple of good books and a bag of sarnies. I may just take off to a Travelodge and hide out.

I agree its sick joking about MM, but whether its actionable or in just poor taste is another matter all together,
But BF was asking about the paper which didn’t report what was said, not the ‘jokes’

She’s a minor and a WOC. So I bet there’s someone who can sue on behalf of her.
But a “comedian” who thinks he’s funny by making jokes about a little girl, who’s fate is unknown, is imo a looser and I wouldn’t pay even a penny to see/read/hear anything of him.
I hope someone sues him and succeeds to get him convicted to pay such an enourmous amount that he’s bankrupt for the rest of his life.

A comedy writer has sparked outrage over a sick “interview” with missing Madeleine McCann.

Jose Perez, 28, who writes scripts for Spanish TV, joked on his website that five-year-old Madeleine’s “ghost” visited him 20 months after she vanished on holiday in Portugal.

Perez wrote: “There was a small, translucent corpse, shrouded in an off-white glow and with a cocky attitude.” He then made a string of of offensive remarks about Madeleine’s parents Gerry and Kate, both 40, of Rothley, Leics.
