Many of them cross the border daily and work in what's left of our industry in the Midlands. The Scots don't live within commuting distance of a decent job so it would be easy to pick them up when they search for accomodation. The Welsh on the other hand can nip down the M54 on a daily basis, be at the centre of our once proud manufacturing heartland, then be back home for barabrith, free prescriptions a few hymns before our lads have downed their third pint.
