British Hack Ridley Takes On Arabic Media
YVONNE Ridley works for Press TV. She is the British journalist who converted to Islam after being kidnapped by the Taliban. The Guaradian notes:
Former Sunday Express journalist Yvonne Ridley has been awarded more than £20,000 in compensation and £5,000 costs after winning a case for unfair dismissal and sexual discrimination against the Islam Channel …
Ridley, who resigned from the channel in April last year, complained that she had effectively been dismissed after relations between her and the channel’s chief executive, Mohammed Ali, broke down.
It’s Clay Cassius, as Alf Garnett told us. And this is the same Ridley:
Earlier this year Ridley won nearly £14,000 in damages after winning a four-year unfair dismissal case against Arabic TV station al-Jazeera.
Ridley was sacked from her job as an editor on the Doha-based channel in November 2003 and launched an unfair dismissal case.
Press TV may like to consider that CV.
For those of you not au fait with Press TV, there’s this…

Quoted from Yvonne’s site :
‘British-born, award-winning journalist Yvonne Ridley is well known in the Muslim world for her outspoken views and defence of Islam. She endeared herself to the Muslim community…..’
What weird psychology is making George Galloway and now Yvonne plunder the Islamic world for fame and affection? It seems like a form of Orientalism.

Yvonne
Anorak wasn’t being Islamophobic - it was being Yvonnephobic (or possibly sexist).

Yvonne, last time i checked, you alleged Mohammed Ali spread rumours about you - which George Galloway supported. You drew Mohammed Ali’s wrath when you wanted to invite Homosexuals to a conservative ISLAMIC channel…Come on Yvonne, even a zionist would know that is a thing silly thing to demand!
It seams that you take George Galloway as your prophet these days. You seem to follow him in to anything. He seems to be your new Qur’an interpreter and Imam.
I’m all for what you say in terms of women’s rights in the work place, but from the news articles I read, the problem was your relationship with Mohammed Ali - strained by your constant breach of ofcom rules, stance on homosexuality and a weird George Galloway inspired Islam.
With all due respect and salutations for your bravery in Afghanistan, please don’t make yourself out to be a champion when you’re not.

My case was brought against Al jazeera because I tried to set up a branch of the national Union of Journalists in Doha, Qatar and my case against ther Islam Channel was for sex discrimination.
Am I to believe that you do not believe in trade unions which fight for equal rights and pay. And am I further to understand that you don’t believe women have rights in the workplace?
If you could take your Islamaphobic blinkers off, you might actually pat me on the back and say: “Well done for taking a stand.”
Kind regards
Yvonne Ridley
