Sam, gotta call you out, Siezures are quite common with Autism. Second, his parents took him off his meds because CO$ pressured them to because A. Autism does not exist to the church And B. It was a drug prescribed by psychitrist. Also, CO$ thinks all of bad things (Genocide, the Third Reich) was caused by psychitrist. The reason: Hubbard got butthurt about the American Psychitric association calling him out on his junk science of DIEnetics. So, like a true narcissit, he made up lies to smear the group because he was unable to ever accept fault with himself.

Of course Scientologists use medical doctors. The Church of Scientology has always had the firm policy of not diagnosing or treating the sick. Medical doctors are trained to deal with the physical aspects of illness and injury. A Scientologist with a physical condition is always advised to seek and obtain the needed examination and treatment of a qualified medical professional. Once under medical treatment, a Scientologist then addresses his illness or injury with auditing to handle any spiritual trauma or other factors connected with the physical condition which may have predisposed him to illness or injury.

There are also many medical doctors who are Scientologists themselves.

Either way the Travolta’s are paying the ultimate price. Both are guilt stricked and destroyed over their sons death. I am certain they’d do things 100% differently if given the chance.

That being said large doses of Niacin have been associated with liver damage. The kind admonistered in $cientologies “Purification Rundown.” Depakote doesn’t damage the liver. HOWEVER the P Rundowns Jett had when he was a child quite possibly could have.

$cientology hokus pokus isn’t a substitute for actual medicine. Nor is it a reasonable avenue for those who aren’t sure about a Psychologist. Too many have died due to there false promises and incorrect assertions with regards to medicine and psychology. The Travolta’s are paying the price. How many NOT FAMOUS $cientologists do you think have unfortunately had to deal with similar circumstances?

Spoken like a true celebrity worshiper.

Out here in the real world, the very few moms and dads that refuse to treat their children’s medical condition are punished– even when the child doesn’t die as a result.

Celebrity worshiping just makes me sick. There should be celebrity spankings, not worshiping such as this.

Scientology has a policy regarding disabled people: “Dispose of them quietly and without sorrow.” That is a direct quote from the founder L. Ron Hubbard.
There are also recorded lectures online where he talks about why some people are better off dead.
If the family staff are good, loyal scientologists they would have gotten rid of the kid just to get more money out of Travolta.

religious views didn’t lead to his death and there’s no such thing as seizure induced autism. he reportedly died due to a fall which may have been caused by epilepsy which he may or may not have been receiving adequate medical care for. anti seizure drugs don’t necessarily stop all epileptic fits, often they just reduce the amount of seizures and severity of them.

I’m a Scientologist and a member of the Citizens Commision for Human Rights (CCHR), and I’m APPALLED by the hypocracy of the Travoltas subjecting their child to the evil psych drug Depakote. LRH clearly states that a clear body/clear mind CANNOT be achieved while under the influence of ANY mind-altering drug. Jett’s Kawasaki syndrome is clearly a consequence of his overts and withholds, and can only be overcome through auditing and via large doses of niacin coupled with many hours in a sauna. LRH explained this very clearly, and he’d be ashamed of John and Kelly for giving their son Depakote. Poisoning their child like that probably directly caused Jett’s death, and it’s definitely an overt act against the Church of Scientology. If I were David Miscavage, I’d disconnect from the Travolta family - they’re clearly PTS/SP.

When a child dies under mysterious circumstances and there are distinguishing signs pointing to parental neglect, you do not patiently wait for the parents to be done grieving. When you have a dead body, you start asking questions, even if it’s the dead body of a celebrity child’s son. You do not wait a couple weeks until the body has been cremated, all potential evidence destroyed, and lawyers have had time to come up with a good story.

I am not saying the Travoltas had any part in the death of their child. I’m sure their sadness is very much real and they will never fully recover from the loss of a child. That said, the question of why they deny their son had siezure-inducing autism (which many, many people diagnosed him with, including John’s older brother and John’s neighbor, who was a doctor with an autistic son) and why they did not give him medication for his illness.

Moderator - are the circumstances mysterious , or where they unexpected?

Travolta ignored those warnings, and his son paid the ultimate price. This is the worst kind of tragedy - a preventable one.
