Maureen Dowd Wants Mark Thatcher For Prime Minsiter

NY Times columnist Maureen O’Dowd has been watching too much TeeVee as she haps on about the Clinton-Kennedy-Bush-Clinton-Bush-Kennedys of Washington.

Although Americans still have enough British in their genes to be drawn to dynasties, W. has no doubt soured the country on scions.

That would be the British who gave the world the Brown-Blair-Major-Thatcher-Callaghan-Heath dynasties?

Yes, there was Pitt the Younger and Pitt the Elder, but they never inflicted upon us Pitt the idiot cousin, an insomniac wife and Pitt the Toothsome Gawk.

If we were like Dowd suggest, Mark Thatcher would be in power.

Of course, there is the Royal family, that noble British dynasty of, er, Germans, Greeks and stable lads…
