LAST week, the Sun brought news of a UFO that having navigated the universe had collided with a wind turbine.
It then brought new of lights in the sky.
After that readers learnt of green shoots sprouting up all over the country and little Brown men playing at “leader”.
Now the Sun brings readers:
“KO UFOs – RAF Top Guns ordered to shoot down alien spacecraft.”
A Nick Pope, who is said to have worked at the ministry of defence, says he knows of occasions when RAF shooters have been ordered to fire on UFOs. See:
“We know of cases where the order has been given to shoot down – with little effect to the UFO.”
One images the scene on the UFO:
Captain Spoxi: “Welcome aboard Splinko Tours of Solar System 89087b, taking in the Planet Earth Experience. You have been asleep for 200 light years and now awake you are invited to look out the window and see the primitive Earthlings reliance on wind power.
Passengers: Laughter
Captain Spoxi: If you look out the window now you can see a small plane – a jet – armed with fireworks. This is a traditional Earthling greeting. We will now tuen into the pilot of the aircraft speaking.
Squadron Leader Ffrenchblake: F**k me! ****. *****. **!
Bang! Lights are seen.
Passengers: Whoooooh.
Spoxi: We will now go into invisiblity mode and in three seconds will arrive on the palent Saturn, where…
Spoxi: *****. *****. Windmill. **. ********!!!!!!!
Transmission ends.

What a waste of space this piece is.

Once again, a deeply scientific, non-sensationalist appraisal of the ‘ufological’ phenomena by some of the countrys greatest minds. My contempt is so strong that I can literally taste the sarcasm and it’s making me nauseous!
In all seriousness though, it is a shame that this sort of shallow, sound-bite coverage is all we can expect from the media in regards to a physical phenomena that has perplexed many a great mind, and been an open secret within international military circles for decades now. It’s exactly these sort of cartoon-esque articles that created the cliches and stereotypes that now pervade the subject over 60 years later, and that will for the near future at least, keep the subject on the fringes of social acceptibility.
Nick Pope is an excellent ambassador for the subject due to his honest and calm approach, not to mention his previous role in the MoD, and discussing this publicly whatever the available forum is to his credit. I just hate the tabloid coverage, and the sun newspaper generally, so much so that I refuse to spell it with a capital s as that would aknowledge it as some sort of identifiable entity worthy of naming. Petty, yes, but I digress.
It’s undeniable that observable, measureable, recordable physical ‘machines’ of some kind have been, for want of a better term, f**king about in our airspace for many years now, but unfortunately the mainstream media, in staying at the forefront of the ufo zeitgeist have helped suppress any serious, open debate on the subject from any party.
Please, if you’re going to make any judgements as to the nature of such things, research the subject properly, taking in government, military, and scientific accounts, not some tabloid b.s. Nick Pope is a good author to start with. Live long and prosper. nanoo nanoo.
