Southampton FC’s crap form has been blamed for an increase in domestic violence.
Latest figures in the scummy lovely city show referrals to the council have doubled.
Local councillor Peter Baillie said: ”There is evidence that when a well-supported football team has a a prolonged downturn that can also be felt through relationship problems.”
Southampton currently lie second from bottom in the Championship and face relegation to League One (or the Third Division, as purists may like to call it). Hundreds of angry fans staged a protest outside the club’s ground before the club’s home game against Swansea on Saturday (the game ended 2-2).
