Man Holds Up Bookmakers With Cigarettes

by | 10th, February 2009

DO you know The Clown, aka Anthony Lee Perry, wanted in connection with armed robberies of bookmakers in the London and Bristol areas.

Police have offered a £10,000 reward for information leading to his arrest and conviction. That’s Perry posing for a police mugshot with cigarettes tucked behind his ears.

Says Det Ch Insp Steve Jupp, of the Flying Squad, tells us:

“We want to trace Anthony Lee Perry as a matter of urgency in relation to these robberies. He has links to the Southwark area of south London and may still be there. If you recognise him please get in touch with us.

If you see Mr Perry, do not approach him. One of the cigarettes may be lit. Instead call for help, or stand still and scream, “There he goes. There goes Perry the smoker.”

Says Perry:

“Hand over the cash or I’ll spark up.”
