Hero Moffett Who Pushed Women Out Of Truck Path Fined For Jaywalking
THAT’S 58-year-old Jim Moffett. The hero.
That’s him with the bleeding in the brain, broken bones, dislocated shoulder and a possible ruptured spleen.
That’s him who pushed three pople out of teh way of an onrushing bus in Denver.
That’s him getting a ticket for jaywalking.
Moffett and another man were helping two elderly women cross a busy Denver street in a snowstorm when he was hit Friday night.
The Colorado State Patrol issued the citation. Trooper Ryan Sullivan told the Rocky Mountain News that despite Moffett’s intentions, jaywalking caused the accident.
The other good Samaritan was also cited for jaywalking. The pickup driver was cited with careless driving causing injury.
In Dubai, a friend was arrested and sent to jail for week when his car was hit by a motorcyclist who’d been knocked from his bike by another car. The biker died. The friend paid $200,000 blood money. Fair?

A friend of mine travelling in Saudi in a Jeep on it’s way back from a day at the beach was involved in an accident. He woke up in a hospital minus his spleen with his ankle chained to the bed. They had hit and unlit Camel and driver in the dark. Even though they were not driving all the ‘foreigners’ in the Jeep were found to be equally at fault as it was their presence in the country that had ultimely led to the accident.
