Jade f**king Goody. Fair enough she’s gonna die, but she’s still a dick. Everybody dies, and good people should be remembered for being good, and dicks should be remembered for…well…being dicks. The idea that she’s being brave is bollox, the only thing she knows how to do is sell the rights to her life to the highest bidder. And worst of all, we all seem to be lapping it up. Apparently the idea of making the moment of her death public is too far for her and her publicists. I think they should show it just so those of us who remember how much of a twat she was can really believe this whole farce is over and get some closure. She hasn’t raised cancer awareness, cancer has raised cancer awareness. Next people will be saying her behaviour on celebrity big brother raised awareness about the issue of racism in modern Britain. It’s just another situation beyond her level of control and reasoning. She’s made a shit load of money out of being famous for NOTHING and dying, so anyone else who can make a few quid out of it, good luck to them. On a cheerier note, as long as she donates more money to cancer research and care than it cost to try and treat her, we’ve still got a net profit.
The god of celeb has a sick sense of humour. Reviving her career via terminal illness has left me ambivalent, despising her more but sort of feeling I shouldn’t. If that wasn’t ethically confusing enough, now I’m starting to think that having lost all that weight, she’s actually would get it. Taking that twisted logic to its natural conclusion, she should do one of them amateur celeb-porn videos. Her at her most physically attractive, and making bag loads of media-whore dollars for her kiddies. I’d like to see them put that snuff video in ok magazine.
…crying shame, really.

I think the whole emotional blackmail thing that we are being subjected to has weighted it all unreasonably. She has been pleading she ’s doing it for her kids and the fairy tale wedding..
But you are right death is the great leveller , just some get flattened sooner than others.
But I shall keep my sympathies for people I know who are in an hopeless situation, whether its an impossible comparison or not.

horses for courses, June - some of us are in the limelight and some are not - not everybody can have the sort of exposure she has had, whether she deserves it or not.
she’s dying and her kids will grow up without their mum - isn’t that tragic enough?
nobody would argue that there are people worse off, but what’s the point in making impossible comparisons…?
I thought death was the great leveller - it seems not.

Where have we heard that before…

dairy, it is supposed to be going to her kids future, but many parents become ill and hospitalised and broke and their families homeless.
Our neighbour has Parkinsons , diabetes, and last week was diagnosed with a throat cancer, he hasn’t been able to work for some years, he and his wife have a mentally handicapped child, and are staring destitution in the face.
This family is real, and its truly awful what is happening, but not being a ‘celeb’……
