
AustralianTeenage Boy Flies With 2 Guns, 14 Knives, 300 Bullets In Luggage
THE 14-year-old boy has flown into Cairns from Western Australia. The boy and his 11-year-old brother are in transit, waiting to board a flight to Weipa, where their father lives.
In his bags he has:
.38-calibre Ruger revolver
Unique .22-calibre pistol
14 knives, including two “tactical knives”
Two throwing blades
Over 3000 rounds of ammunition
Gun scopes.
Says the Cairns Post:
The haul and variety of weapons has alarmed police.
As understatements go, it’s a late entry. Added to by Cairns Child Protection and Investigations Unit Det Sen-Sgt Glenn Horan:
“It’s unusual for someone so young to have possession of firearms at all, let alone to have such a large number of weapons.”
