HARK, it’s the beep of Anorak’s CCN (Celebrity Cancer News) telling us that “Star Wars’ Darth Vader actor David Prowse battles prostate cancer”.
Says the Herald Sun:
DARTH Vader actor David Prowse has revealed he is battling prostate cancer, but is responding well to radiotherapy treatment for his illness.
The 73-old-actor, who appeared as Luke Skywalker’s nemesis in the original Star Wars films, has been undergoing radiotherapy for the last couple of months.
The Green Cross Code Man says every man over 50 should have a check for prostrate cancer, and look both ways when crossing the Dark Side.
Note: Prowse has not invited cameras into observe his illness, and he retains such a modest profile that the Telegraph illustrates his story with picture of a Star Wars toy mask.
